A$AP Rocky Dangles From 'Helicopter' Over Raging City in New Video

A$AP Rocky's latest musical offering is a wild ride, with the artist unleashing a chaotic new track called "Helicopter" along with a visually stunning video that's equal parts satire and fever dream.

The clip features Rocky himself riding around on a hot pink mini helicopter - literally dangling from it at one point - as he raps out the bass-heavy chorus. It's a scene straight out of a Grand Theft Auto game, with saturated colors and sweeping cityscapes providing a surreal backdrop for Rocky's antics.

But "Helicopter" isn't just another flashy music video - it's also a key part of Rocky's upcoming album, which he's billed as his most creative yet. Working with Tim Burton on the LP's artwork and a forthcoming film that'll accompany the record, Rocky has crafted an album that's shaping up to be something truly special.

In an interview with Variety, Rocky discussed the album's subject matter, admitting that it represents who he is right now - but also expressing some self-doubt about how to convey his message in a way that feels humble and relatable. It's a nuanced approach that suggests Rocky is trying to evolve as an artist while still staying true to himself.

The new track follows on from last week's release of "Punk Rocky," which debuted with a video featuring appearances from Winona Ryder, Thundercat, and Danny Elfman. Like its predecessor, the visual took Rocky through a surreal journey involving friends, bumbling police, and an extreme conclusion.

Overall, "Helicopter" is another indication that A$AP Rocky's upcoming album is going to be one for the ages - and fans are eagerly anticipating what's in store.

omg i cant get enough of this new track by a$ap rocky its like he took all his favorite games and movies and mashed them into one wild ride lol the visual is straight fire too i mean who needs a movie when you can just watch a$ap riding around on a mini helicopter in 4k ? 🚁💥 tim burton must be so stoked to be working with him again anyway its cool that rocky is trying to evolve as an artist and convey his message in a more humble way like i get how hard it is to stay true to yourself while still trying new things

omg i just watched this vid for like 10 mins ago and i'm still trying to process it lol the helicopter scene was giving me LIFE 🚁🎉 but at the same time it was kinda unsettling idk if its supposed to be funny or not? anyway, a$ap rocky is always pushing boundaries with his art and i love how he's experimenting with new ideas for this album... or should i say, trying to experiment lol he's got some big shoes to fill after that last album but i trust him to deliver something special 🤞🎶

I gotta say, A$AP Rocky's "Helicopter" video is straight fire 🔥, but I'm also a bit skeptical about the whole thing. It feels like every new track from him is just another example of how much money he can spend on an epic music video 🤑. Don't get me wrong, it looks sick and all, but is it really necessary to include such over-the-top visuals? Is Rocky trying to outdo himself or just prove a point?

I'm also wondering if his latest album is going to be too chaotic for its own good 😵. With Tim Burton on board for the artwork, I get that he's pushing boundaries and all that jazz, but some of these ideas feel like they're just trying too hard to be innovative 💥. Rocky seems genuinely unsure about how to convey his message without coming off as pretentious, though. Maybe we'll see a more balanced approach on this album? 🤔

omg I'm so stoked about this new track from A$AP Rocky 🤯! it's like he's pushing the boundaries of music vids even further, you know? the way he just dives headfirst into that mini helicopter is wild 😂 and I love how Tim Burton got involved with the album artwork, that's just pure genius 💡. what i'm most hyped about tho is how Rocky seems to be really introspective about his next move as an artist 🤔... like, we've all been there, trying to figure out how to stay true to ourselves while still innovating and taking risks 🔥 can't wait for the whole album drop!

🤯 I just saw this crazy video of a guy riding around on a mini helicopter and I started thinking about those old hovercraft thingies from childhood summers 🏖️. You know, the ones that looked like giant metal leaves? 😂 Anyway, it got me thinking, have you ever noticed how some artists can create such an immersive experience with their music videos? Like, A$AP Rocky's visual style is always so on point, and I'm loving this new direction he's taking. 🎥 I need to check out that mini helicopter ride again... maybe it'll inspire me to get one too 🚁🤪
