Minneapolis ICE shooting live updates: Officer shot person after being attacked: DHS

A federal law enforcement officer in Minneapolis shot a person after being attacked by three individuals, including the driver who had been pulled over in a traffic stop. The Department of Homeland Security stated that the incident began when the driver took off from the scene of the traffic stop and crashed his car into another parked vehicle.

According to DHS, the driver then fled on foot, while two other individuals came out of a nearby apartment and attacked the law enforcement officer with a snow shovel and broom handle. The officer was reportedly ambushed and attacked by all three individuals, leading him to fire defensive shots in self-defense.

The person shot by the officer was hit in the leg, while both he and the officer were taken to the hospital for treatment. Two of the other suspects allegedly involved in the attack were later taken into custody, although it is unclear when or how this occurred.

just another crazy story this should've never happened, just because someone was speeding shouldn't mean they get attacked with a shovel what if the officer hadn't been armed? 2 people are hurt and there's still 1 person on the loose it's not like we're seeing more of these kinds of incidents, but it's always good to be aware of our surroundings.
