Donegal to face Monaghan in Saturday's Dr McKenna Cup decider after thrilling wins over Derry and Tyrone.
In a day that saw the four provincial champions set up their respective All-Ireland quarter-final showdowns, Donegal edged out holders Derry by 1-18 to 1-16 at Celtic Park before coming from behind twice in the second half to knock out champions Tyrone with a 2-15 to 1-10 victory over Grattan Park.
Donegal trailed early on after two goal attempts were saved by the opposing goalkeeper, however a spirited second-half performance, spearheaded by goalscorer Daire OBaoill and substitute Ryan McHugh, saw them storm into a six-point lead. Substitute Conor McCluskey also hit the net for Donegal as they took control of proceedings.
Monaghan overcame Tyrone's strong second-half push to claim victory at Inniskeen with two late points from Michael Bannigan securing their 3-17 to 2-16 success.
