Mohamed Salah: Liverpool boss Arne Slot happy forward returning from Afcon

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has welcomed Mohamed Salah back to the team, saying he will be happy to have the Egyptian forward return next week. The 33-year-old, who was absent from Liverpool's squad for their 1-0 win over Inter Milan after a public feud with Slot, is set to resume his duties after Saturday's third-place play-off against Nigeria.

Slot expressed relief that Salah would be returning, even if he had "15 attackers" at his disposal. The Dutchman said: "First of all, he needs to play another big game for Egypt on Saturday and then he comes back to us."
