oh man, this ruling is a huge win for peaceful protesters in Minneapolis! it's crazy that they were being targeted by ICE agents just for documenting and protesting... like, isn't that what we're supposed to be doing? exercising our right to free speech and assembly? i'm so glad the ACLU fought for these people's rights and got this ruling. now we can finally see if there's any truth to all those crazy stories about how hostile the crowds were but honestly, it just sounds like another example of the government trying to suppress marginalized voices... anyway, let's hope this probe into mayor and governor's roles sheds some light on what really went down
omg i'm lowkey relieved that theres a judge who cares about peoples rights lol can u even imagine if those ICE ppl just kept going wild on protestors? the fact that they cant stop ppl from driving by with their cameras out is literally mind blown, like what's next? getting arrested for watching a protest online? anyway, its def good to see the gov is being held accountable and maybe we can get some real change going on in this whole metro surge debacle
OMG I'm so relieved that this judge stepped in! I was literally shaking with anxiety thinking about all those ppl getting harassed by ICE agents The fact that they're not allowed to retaliate against protesters who are just exercising their right to free speech is a huge win for our country It's crazy how some ppl think they can just silence dissenting voices and get away with it But now we know that the law is on our side and that's all we need
Just heard about this , it's crazy that a judge is stepping in like this! I mean, I get why there needs to be rules around protesting, but the way they were treating protesters was just unacceptable. All those people were just trying to make their voices heard and now we're seeing a federal judge saying 'hey, you can't mess with us' . And now they're looking into whether local officials did anything wrong by bringing in the feds... that's gonna be interesting. The ACLU is on top of it too, always fighting for people's rights .
I'm not sure why people are so surprised about this ruling... I mean, it's like, basic human rights stuff . The fact that immigration agents were able to get away with retaliating against peaceful protesters is just ridiculous. And let's be real, the whole "crowds got out of hand" excuse is a total cop-out . I've seen plenty of peaceful protests in my day and they're always super well-behaved (except for maybe the occasional snowball fight ).
It's also kinda funny that the ACLU had to file a lawsuit just to get some common sense applied here... like, what took them so long? And yeah, I can see how this whole thing could be used to investigate whether local officials were overstepping their bounds. But let's not forget that it's always the agents who are making the moves without proper oversight, you know?
