Man attacks 40-year-old with baseball bat at NYC subway station, NYPD says

Ugh man 🤯 this is getting crazy! I'm all for keeping our city safe but can't we just have a peaceful ride without some dude with a baseball bat trying to bash someone's face in? 😱 It's like, what's going on over there?! 🤔

The stats are telling us that transit crime has been up recently, which is super concerning. I mean, 4% isn't bad but it's still a trend we need to keep an eye on. The NYPD is doing their thing and all but can we get some community involvement going? Maybe some outreach programs or something? 🤝

But you know what really gets me? These kids... 15 years old getting slashed on the subway?! What are we doing as a society?! Can't we teach our youth to resolve conflicts peacefully? 🤷‍♂️ It's like, where is our empathy? Our compassion?!

I'm all for accountability but let's not forget about the root causes here. Poverty, lack of opportunities... these are the things that drive people to violence. We need to address those underlying issues if we want to create a safer city 🌆

man... what's going on with this subway system?! 🤯 first, a guy gets smacked around with a baseball bat in the Bronx, and now there's this other dude getting stabbed on Broadway, and another kid getting slashed on the E train... it's like they're trying to break some kinda record for worst day on the subway! 😂 and yeah, I can see why people are getting worried - those stats show an increase in incidents. but at the same time, 4% less major transit crime is still kinda a win, right? 🤔

Ugh, this is just so depressing 🤕... I mean, can't people just get along? We're living in a time where we have all these amazing advancements and yet, violence is still such a big problem. Like, what's going on with our society? These attacks are not just random, they're happening in places where people are supposed to feel safe, you know? A subway station is like the last place you'd expect that kind of thing to happen. And now we've got surveillance footage and everything... it's just so frustrating 🤯. I'm all for safety measures and increased security, but can't we also find a way to address the root causes of this violence? Like, what's driving these people to act out in such violent ways? 🤔
