Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has called for a change to the English Football League's rules so that defender Marc Guehi can play in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal.
Guardiola, who signed Guehi from Crystal Palace after their 2-0 first leg win over Newcastle, expressed frustration at not being able to use the England international in the semi-final matches and now faces the same issue for the Wembley final.
Under EFL competition rules, players can only play for teams they have joined 'prior to the closure of the Winter transfer window, or the first leg of the semi-final (whichever is sooner)', Guehi did not meet this criteria when he joined City in January.
