Patriots get good news about Drake Maye’s shoulder in new injury report

Patriots Get Good News on Drake Maye's Shoulder Ahead of Super Bowl.

In a positive turn of events for the New England Patriots, quarterback Drake Maye appears to have dodged a major injury scare. The 23-year-old QB had been listed as "limited" in last week's injury report with a right shoulder injury after taking a hit from Denver linebacker Talanoa Hufanga during the AFC championship game.

However, following an illness that forced him to miss practice last Friday, Maye returned to the field on Wednesday and was deemed a full participant in drills. According to quarterback coach Joe Judge, the team is looking forward to having Maye back at 100% for Sunday's Super Bowl against Seattle.

"I'll be just fine...I threw as much as I would at a normal practice," Maye said in a statement on Monday. "I felt great, looking forward to getting back out there Wednesday and Thursday for practice again. And Friday, get ready to get a normal week of prep."

In a recent press conference, Maye emphasized that he won't be limited by his shoulder injury on Sunday. "Shoulder feels great," he said with a confident smile, adding, "I wasn't limited on Monday so I don't see any way I'd be limited today. I'm feeling good."

However, linebacker Robert Spillane remains a concern after missing practice due to an ankle injury that initially occurred during the AFC title game.

The full injury report is as follows:

* LB Robert Spillane – Ankle (did not participate)
* LB Harold Landry III – Knee (limited participation)
* OT Thayer Munford Jr. – Knee (limited participation)
* DT Joshua Farmer – Hamstring (full participation)
* QB Drake Maye – Right Shoulder (full participation)

It seems that the Patriots' quarterback is now on track to be fully fit for Sunday's big game against Seattle, a welcome news for fans and coaches alike.

😊 so it looks like drake maye is good to go for super bowl 🏈! just hoping he stays healthy and can lead the patriots to victory 💪🏽. i mean, the guy's been dealing with some injury drama, but it sounds like he's back on track now 🕰️. fingers crossed for a big game from him 🤞.

🤔 I'm not entirely convinced by this optimistic report. Just because Maye was deemed "full participation" in drills doesn't necessarily mean his shoulder injury is cleared for game-day action. We don't have any concrete medical evidence to back up these claims, so let's keep our expectations in check 🏈💪 Sources, anyone?

I'm glad to hear that Drake Maye is looking good for the Super Bowl 🙌! It's always a bummer when you think an injury might hold someone back from performing at their best, but it sounds like he's been doing some great work to get ready. Now, I know the Patriots have a tough game ahead against Seattle, but with Maye back at 100%, that gives them a big boost 💪. Plus, Robert Spillane seems to be recovering nicely from his ankle injury 🤞. Fingers crossed for the Pats! 😄

idk about this shoulder injury thing... maybe he's just one of those ppl who never gets hurt lol 🤔🏈 i mean, 23 yrs old and already dealing with major injuries? thats a lot for a rookie QB to handle... hopefully he can stay healthy this sunday 🤞

just got out of bed this mornin and already havin bad vibes about sunday's super bowl lol 🤕 patriots gotta deal with spillane missin practice due to an ankle injury 🤦‍♂️ that's a major concern, especially if he can't play it could be a huge blow to their defense. and what's up with landry and munford Jr? both limited in practice, hope they don't end up holdin the patriots back too much 🤔

omg i was worried sick about drake maye 🤯, but it looks like he's gonna be good to go in super bowl sunday! 100% full participation in practice on wednesday is huge 🙌, and joe judge said the team is hyped to have him back at 100%. fingers crossed for a winning performance 👍

🤔 I'm relieved that Drake Maye's shoulder injury hasn't taken a more severe turn 🙏. His confidence and poise in addressing the media are telling signs that he's on track to perform well come Sunday 😊. The fact that he was able to participate fully in drills without any issues is a huge plus for the Patriots' chances of winning the Super Bowl 💪. It's also worth noting that the team's decision to err on the side of caution and list him as limited initially demonstrates their commitment to prioritizing player safety 🤝. Now, it's just a matter of whether the other injured players can shake off their respective issues without affecting Maye's performance ⏰.

🤞 gotta say, this shoulder injury thing with Drake Maye had me worried for a sec 🤕 but it sounds like he's good to go now! 👍 I mean, missing practice last week was a bummer, but getting back out there Wednesday and Thursday is huge 🙌 and having him at 100% for the Super Bowl would be a major relief for the team and fans alike 💪. Still, gotta keep an eye on Robert Spillane's ankle injury, don't wanna catch any more bad news 🤞. But overall, it seems like everything's falling into place for the Patriots ahead of Sunday's big game ⏰. Bring on the Super Bowl! 🏈

idk about this... just 'cause he threw with no issues doesn't mean its 100% done deal 🤔. what if it was that one hit from Hufanga that triggered the whole thing? and what about Spillane's ankle injury, how serious is that 🤕? shouldn't be taking anything at face value until we see him on the field, you feel?

omg I'm so relieved he's good to go 🙌, been watching him play all season and he's been on fire 🔥. shoulder injuries can be nasty but it sounds like he's got his mojo back 💪. team's gonna do great with him leading the charge 🎉, fingers crossed for a win against seattle 😂, let's go patriots!!!

IM SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT MAYE IS FEELING GOOD ABOUT HIS SHOULDER INJURY!!! IT WAS A BIG CONCERN AFTER THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, BUT NOW IT SEEMS LIKE HE'S ON TRACK TO BE 100% FOR SUNDAY'S SUPER BOWL. THIS WOULD BE HUGE NEWS FOR PATRIOTS FANS, AND I KNOW THEY'LL BE PUMPED UP TO WATCH HIM IN ACTION AGAINST THE SEAHAWKS. Fingers crossed he stays healthy and leads his team to a win!!! 🏈👍

I'm so over how injury reports are becoming an event 🤦‍♂️. Can't we just get some real news about the team instead of all this drama? It feels like every little thing is magnified. And what's with all these "limited" labels? Is it really that hard to say if someone's injured or not?

And another thing, why do players always have to sound so confident and optimistic when they're dealing with injuries? 🙄 "I'll be fine"... sure, buddy. We've heard that before and seen how it plays out.

At this point, I'm just hoping the Patriots can get a decent game plan together without any more last-minute changes due to injury 🤞.

omg i'm hyped!!! 💥 finally some good news about drake maye's shoulder 🙏 it looks like he's gonna be 100% for the super bowl and that's amazing 🤩 i mean who wants to see him out there with a limited injury holding him back? 🚫 not me, that's for sure 😅 and now that he's fully participating in drills, i'm feeling even more confident about the patriots' chances of winning it all 🏆 super bowl sunday can't come soon enough! ⏰

🤞 I'm feeling pretty good about it... The fact that Drake Maye was able to throw as much as he would at a normal practice without any issues says a lot. It looks like the team is doing everything they can to get him back to 100% for the Super Bowl. And honestly, it's hard not to feel optimistic when you're watching drills and the QB is looking confident... 📈 The Patriots are definitely in good hands now that Maye is expected to be fully fit for Sunday's game. It's gonna be a tough one against Seattle, but I think our boys got this! 💪

I'm so stoked to hear that Drake Maye is looking good 🤩. I mean, shoulder injuries can be super scary, especially when you're talking about the Super Bowl. But from what I've seen, he's been throwing like a normal guy in practice, which is awesome news for the Patriots and their fans. I'm definitely going to be rooting for them on Sunday now 🏈. The thing that still has me a bit worried though is Robert Spillane's ankle injury... fingers crossed he's able to get back out there without holding him back. But overall, it seems like the Pats are in good shape heading into the big game 💪.

🤞 so its kinda good that drake maye dodged that major injury scare but like u cant just count him as 100% right away...he was only full participation in drills on wednesday lol what does "threw as much as i would at a normal practice" even mean? is he saying his shoulder feels better or hes just trying to psych himself up for the game 🤔 anyway, gotta be good that the team has more updates on robert spillane's ankle injury tho, hopefully he can get back on the field without any major issues

So I was worried about that shoulder injury with Drake Maye 🤞 but it looks like he's good to go for the Super Bowl now! I'm so stoked for the Pats 🏈, they're gonna crush it against Seattle on Sunday 👊. And yay for getting a normal week of practice again, that's always a bonus 💪. Now let's just hope Robert Spillane recovers quickly from his ankle injury 🤗, can't have too many stars missing from the lineup 😬. Bring on Sunday's game, let's go Pats! 🎉

I'm low-key hyped about this update for Drake Maye 🤩! He was having a bad day last week but now he's back in the game 💪! I think it's awesome that he was able to shake off that illness and get back into practice without any issues 🙌. The fact that the coaching staff is confident in him being 100% for the Super Bowl is a huge plus for their chances of winning 🔥. Of course, there are still some other injuries to keep an eye on, like Robert Spillane's ankle injury 🤕, but overall I think Maye's return is a big boost for the team #GoPats #SuperBowlBound #DrakeMayeIsBack

I think its actually pretty bad news that Maye got to play in practice again so soon... I mean, hes just coming off an illness, not like he was working out or anything... his shoulder injury is still there, but everyone's too optimistic about it 🤔. What if he gets hurt for real on Sunday? The team should be focusing on recovery and game plan strategy, not pretending like Maye is fully back to normal yet 😒.
