idk about this new rule ... sounds like a big power grab to me. if anyone can be fired just because they don't agree with the pres's views, that's not what america is supposed to be about. it's all about having an independent civil service system that doesn't get swayed by politics
and what's with this "Schedule Policy/Career" thing? it sounds like a fancy way of saying "we can fire whoever we want whenever we want". doesn't sound very democratic to me . and yeah, critics are right on the money when they say it's an attempt to silence dissenting voices and punish people for speaking out against the pres's policies
idk about this new rule ... it's like they're trying to get rid of anyone who doesn't agree with them. i mean, shouldn't we be able to have a professional civil service where people can do their jobs without fear of being fired just because they don't toe the party line? this is exactly what the politicians are supposed to be held accountable for, not the ones doing the actual work
This new rule is super worrying for me, especially since I have a family member who works as a federal employee . It's like they're basically saying that anyone can get fired just because they don't agree with the president or do something 'wrong'. That's not how our system of checks and balances is supposed to work .
I mean, what's next? Are they gonna start firing people for voting in a certain way or having an opinion on social media? It feels like they're trying to silence anyone who disagrees with them rather than addressing the issues themselves . And yeah, I can totally see how critics are worried about this being used as a tool for political purges .
We need to keep an eye on this and make sure our government is protecting its employees' rights, not just the president's . This whole thing stinks of politics over people .
omg did u know that i just tried the new cronut from starbucks at like 3am anyway back to this news... i think it's kinda weird that they're reclassifying these roles like what's next? are we gonna start getting fired for liking a certain song on spotify ? seriously though, can't we just have some stability in our govt? it feels like they're just trying to stir up drama and controversy everywhere they go
