Swiss skier Franjo von Allmen wins first gold medal of Milano Cortina Games

I don’t usually comment but I have to say Franjo von Allmen's gold medal win in the Milano Cortina Games opening event was insane ! 1 minute, 51.61 seconds is crazy fast for a downhill course and it's amazing that he powered through the competition like that. Giovanni Franzoni and Dominik Paris gave him a run for his money though, especially with those super tight margins.

And Frida Karlsson from Team Sweden just dominated the women’s skiathlon event ! 53 minutes and 45.2 seconds is a blistering time and it's awesome to see Swedish athletes keeping their streak going. Jessie Diggins from Team USA had a tough day but she's still an amazing skier.

I don't know what else to say, but these Winter Olympics are already giving me goosebumps !

Man I'm loving these new games! Franjo von Allmen's gold in the Milano Cortina Games opening event was insane! That downhill course at Bormio is no joke, but he just took it by storm like a Swiss bullet . And Italy's Giovanni Franzoni and Dominik Paris putting on a great show, I love the team effort vibes they had going on. Frida Karlsson killing it in the women's skiathlon event, that 20-kilometer course is no easy feat! But what really got me was how strong Jessie Diggins' performance was, coming in eighth and still giving it her all, you know? It just goes to show we're gonna see some amazing racing throughout these games, can't wait to see what's next!
