I'm stoked about the upcoming Philly Phlotilla! It's amazing how kayaking can bring people together and showcase our city's beautiful riverside scenery. The whole event feels like a celebration of American history, which is kinda cool. 
What's even better is that it's a family-friendly event, so I'm sure there'll be tons of young kids getting excited about kayaking and learning more about our nation's founding story. I just wish they'd consider making the route more accessible to people with disabilities, though

. 8 miles on a kayak sounds like a fun event but what about all the pollution in the Schuylkill River? All those kayakers are gonna leave their trash behind 
... and then there's the weather, July is always a wild card in Philly, hope they're prepared for something to go wrong
