Landmark trial accusing social media companies of addicting children to their platforms begins

I'm getting really worried about our kids' online safety 🤕. I mean, think about it - they're basically being designed to be addicted to these platforms from a young age. It's crazy that companies are making so much money off of this. I don't get why social media giants haven't taken more responsibility for their users, especially when it comes to kids.

I'm all for regulation - France and Australia seem to be on the right track 🙌. We need to make sure these companies are holding up their end of the bargain when it comes to protecting our young people's mental health. I just hope this trial brings about some real change and not just a bunch of empty promises.

The way these companies have been able to manipulate kids into spending hours on end scrolling through their feeds is just wild 🤯. It's like they're exploiting our children's vulnerability for the sake of profits. It's time for them to be held accountable, in my opinion.

this is just going to end well... they'll probably settle out of court or get off scot-free, all while knowing they've got a lifetime supply of kids who can't even be bothered with their lives without their phones 🤦‍♂️. I mean, come on, they're basically addicted to them already - why fix what ain't broke, right? and don't even get me started on the profit margins... if it's good for business, we'll just pretend it's not a problem 😒.

the whole thing is messed up 🤕... like, these massive corps have become so powerful that they're basically creating a recipe for addiction & mental health issues in kids... it's wild to think that their goal is just to make more profits, not to keep people safe or healthy 😒. and now we got countries taking steps to regulate this stuff? about time 🕰️. it's crazy how much power these companies have over our lives, especially when it comes to our kids... we need to be way more aware of what's going on & demand change 💪.

🤔 The whole thing is kinda crazy 🤯 - I mean, we're talking about social media giants being accused of designing platforms that addict kids and affect their mental health 💔. It's like they knew what they were doing was wrong but just didn't care 🤑. The trial could have some major implications for the companies' business models and how they interact with younger users 👀. On a personal level, it makes me think about all the times my own kids have gotten sucked into their screens 📱 - as a parent, it's scary to know that these companies might be exploiting our children's vulnerabilities 😨. The fact that other countries are taking steps to regulate social media use among kids is a step in the right direction 👍. We need to make sure that these companies prioritize our collective wellbeing over their profits 💸.

I'm really worried about what's going on with these big social media companies 🤕... They're like, making billions of dollars off kids' addiction 🤑... It's not right that they know their platforms are bad for young minds yet still keep pushing them to use more 💻... I mean, who cares about profits if it means harming people's mental health? 🤷‍♀️... We need some serious changes in how these companies handle minors online 🚨... Maybe France and Australia have the right idea with their new rules 🙏... Can't we just make sure kids are protected from these addictive platforms? 🙄
