I mean, come on! EasyJet's customer service is like, woah 
. It's crazy that they didn't just give the £472 refund right off the bat. And then to make it even more confusing, they kept saying different reasons for why they couldn't refund it. It's like, are you guys serious? 
I get it, mistakes happen, but this is just ridiculous. I'm not sure how many people would want to deal with that kind of hassle. The passengers who got stuck in this situation must have been so frustrated
.But on the bright side, EasyJet eventually agreed to pay back the money... after being contacted by a journalist, no less
. Maybe they just didn't want to deal with all the bad PR? Idk, but it's definitely a good lesson for passengers: always check in online first, like someone suggested
