Champions League: Paramount wins rights to show games in UK from 2027

Paramount wins rights to show Champions League matches in the UK from 2027, surpassing current deal holder TNT Sports' nearly £1bn package. Amazon Prime will continue to broadcast a match every Tuesday until 2031.

The new four-year agreement comes after Uefa partnered with Relevent and European Club Association on the UC3 initiative. Paramount+ is set to show Champions League matches exclusively in the UK, while Amazon Prime continues to offer live games. The Premier League deal is also expected to benefit from the increased broadcasting revenue.

Fans will need another subscription to watch football as the new agreement fragments the market. With Netflix and DAZN reportedly interested in rights deals, the picture could get even more complicated.

In the past decade, the Champions League has moved away from traditional broadcasters, with Uefa taking advantage of streaming platforms. Amazon Prime has become a key player in this shift, offering live coverage of key World Cup qualifiers and now securing exclusive rights to show games in the UK.

omg, I'm so over all these new subscription services! 🤯 first it's Paramount+, then Netflix, and who knows what's next? 😅 i just wanna watch my football matches without having to juggle another streaming service on top of my Amazon Prime lol. i mean, i get why they're doing this tho - more revenue for the clubs and leagues is a good thing 💸 but can't we just have one or two main services that are easy to manage? 🤔

Ugh, can't believe they're making it even harder for us normal fans to keep up with our fave teams 🤯. First, it's £1bn package and now Paramount+ is getting the UK deal? That's like, a whole new subscription to worry about 📺. I get that we need more revenue, but can't they just make it easier for us to watch our footy instead of fragmenting the market even further? 😩 And what's with Amazon Prime getting all these exclusive rights? They're basically charging us extra for the same games... it's just not right 🤷‍♂️. And now Netflix and DAZN are sniffing around, I'm worried we'll be stuck in some kinda broadcasting maze 🗺️.

Wow 💥 - so that's what's happening with the Champions League broadcasting deal in the UK! Interesting 🤔 that Amazon Prime is sticking around for another few years, but now fans are gonna have to get even more subs just to watch a match... like, who do they think we've got at home? 😂 Paramount+ getting the exclusive rights tho, must be all about getting those Premier League dollars 💸

Omg omg omg!!! 🤩 Paramount is gonna rock our lives with Champions League matches on TV!!! I'm so hyped about this new deal! 💥 Can't wait to see all those epic matches live without having to think of another sub 🤑 But, tbh, isn't it weird that we'll need ANOTHER subscription just to watch football? 🤔 Like, how's that even a thing now? 😂 Guess we'll have to keep an eye on Netflix and DAZN too, who knows what other surprises they got in store for us! 🎉

I'm not sure what's up with this new deal... on one hand, it's awesome that fans are gonna have more options to watch Champions League matches in the UK 🤔. I mean, who doesn't love football, right? But at the same time, having another subscription to keep track of is just extra stress 💁‍♀️. And with Amazon Prime already getting exclusive rights and now Paramount+ coming in with a big package... it's like, what's next? 🤯 Fans are already feeling the pinch with all these new streaming services, so I don't know if this is really a good thing for them. Maybe it'll just get more complicated and we'll end up paying even more to watch our fave teams compete 💸.

⚽️ I'm not sure what's more confusing, the fact that we're getting another new broadcaster or that our subscription options are going to get even more crazy 🤯. With Paramount+ taking over the Champions League in the UK and Amazon Prime still having a foot in, I think we can expect even higher prices for football fans who want to keep up with their favorite teams 👀. Not sure if it's a good thing or not that Netflix and DAZN are getting interested in rights deals - maybe someone will step in and create a more fan-friendly package 🤞?

🤯 just heard about Paramount getting the Champions League rights in the UK from 2027... it's wild how it's gonna make fans need another sub to watch their fave teams 📺💸. I'm both hyped and kinda disappointed at the same time, tbh. On one hand, it's awesome that we'll get more options for live games, but on the other hand, it's like, what's next? Are we gonna need a sub to watch our kids play soccer too? 🤣. Anywayz, gotta admit, Amazon Prime is doing some cool stuff with their Tuesday matches... 2031 can't come soon enough, lol! 💪

I'm literally fuming about this new deal 🤯! Another subscription to watch football? That's just ridiculous. I mean, can't we already have everything on one platform or something? The fragmentation of the market is crazy, with Netflix and DAZN sniffing around... it's like Uefa wants us to break the bank just to watch a game 😂. And don't even get me started on Paramount+ - another streaming giant taking over our rights. What's wrong with TNT Sports' nearly £1bn package?! It was a good deal! 🤑

🤔 just had the most epic news ever! Paramount+ is about to take over the Champions League broadcasting rights in the UK from 2027 🏆👊 and I'm both stoked and a little worried at the same time 😬. All this means more money for the Premier League, which is great for fans like me who love watching live football matches 🤩. However, it also means we'll have to subscribe to even more streaming services... like another one? 😳 does that make sense? anyway, I'm hyped to see how Amazon Prime will keep showing some games every Tuesday until 2031 📺💻 and who knows maybe Netflix or DAZN will try to get in on the action too? 🤔👀 #ChampionsLeague #ParamountPlus #StreamingServices

🤔 so Paramount is basically stepping on top of Amazon Prime's Tuesday night Champions League game slot... that's not great for fans who want to watch more than one match at a time 📺 but hey, I guess it's all about those £1bn packages 💸 and now we're gonna have even more subscriptions to worry about with Netflix and DAZN sniffing around 🤝

🤔 watching champs league on amazon prime is lit 🔥 especially on tuesdays 📆 they're getting another £100m from the deal 💸 meanwhile paramount+ gets all the exclusive UK rights 🇬🇧 might have to get another subscription to watch matches 🚫 gotta keep up with netflix and dazn too 🤯 all these new players making it crazy 🌪️
