Stevie Nicks review – rock legend dazzles Brooklyn with anecdotes and classic hits

Stevie Nicks Delivers Electrifying Performance in Brooklyn as She Makes Triumphant Return to Stage

In a captivating evening that saw the Fleetwood Mac singer and rock legend Stevie Nicks weave a spell of enchantment over the sold-out crowd at the Barclays Center, she showcased why she remains an icon in the music world. The rescheduled date, which marked her return to performing after a brief hiatus, was met with enthusiasm from fans ranging from die-hard devotees to newcomers who had come to experience the mystique surrounding Nicks.

The 77-year-old songstress launched into a setlist that spanned some of Fleetwood Mac's most iconic hits and choice cuts from her stellar '80s albums Bella Donna and The Wild Heart. As she strode across the stage, Nicks' powerful voice soared on tracks like "If Anyone Falls," while the motorik intro to "Stand Back" brought the energy up a notch with its throbbing synths and analog bits of kit that lit up the stage.

Throughout the performance, Nicks seamlessly blended music with storytelling, recalling anecdotes about her life and experiences. The evening was part concert, part confessional, as she shared tales of her involvement in projects like Taylor Swift's song "The Tortured Poets Department" and being honored with Barbie dolls created in her likeness. These stories not only humanized Nicks but also added a layer of depth to the performance.

One notable omission from the setlist was several fan favorites, including "Leather and Lace," "Enchanted," and "Sara." While understandable given the focus on material that has proven successful over the years, some diehards might have appreciated these deeper cuts. Nonetheless, Nicks's dedication to her existing repertoire meant that the show maintained its cohesion without feeling overly condensed.

As the performance drew to a close, Nicks delivered words of warmth and encouragement, urging the audience to "dance all night long" with parting advice. With a voice that has aged remarkably well and a stage presence still electrifying, Stevie Nicks truly earned her victory lap as she made her triumphant return to the concert circuit. Her ability to captivate both old and new fans alike is a testament to her enduring legacy in rock music.

omg I'm so stoked that Stevie Nicks is back on stage 🤩! 77 and still slaying, you know? 😂 she's got this mystique about her that just draws you in, you feel? i loved how she wove storytelling into the show, it made it so much more than just a concert. and can we talk about how iconic that "Stand Back" intro is? 💥 it was like the whole crowd was electrified (literally 😂). anyway, i'm kinda bummed some of her die-hard fans might've been left out with songs missing from the setlist... but overall, it's clear Stevie still has it in spades 💖.

omg did u see that epic performance by Stevie Nicks?? 🤩 i'm still reeling from it!!! 77 and still killin' on stage what's her secret? 💁‍♀️ she has this effortless charm and aura about her that just draws u in. and the way she weaves stories into her songs is pure magic ✨ i loved how she shared those behind-the-scenes tales, it made me feel like i was part of her world. a few fans might've been bummed w/ no "Leather and Lace" but honestly, she had us all singing along to those other jams 🎤 anyway, just gotta say: Stevie Nicks is still THE QUEEN 👑

🤩 man stevie nicks is still got it!! i mean 77 and still rocking out like nothing's changed 😂 she's still got that mystique, that magic on stage... it's no wonder the crowd was electric! 🌟 i felt bad for some diehards who were expecting "leather and lace" or whatever but honestly, nicks is a perfectionist and chose her spots wisely. plus, we all know she's gonna come back with more material eventually 🤞 anyway, can't wait to see what she does next! 🎸

Omg I'm so happy for Stevie Nicks!! 😍 Like she's still got it and her voice is insane! I was listening to Fleetwood Mac in school all the time and I never knew what made them so famous lol 🤷‍♀️ But I guess that's what happens when you're a rock legend like 20+ years ago. Anyway, can someone explain to me what this "motorik" thing is? Sounds like some fancy electronic stuff... 🤔

man i just got back from that show 🤩 and stevie nicks is STILL WILD 🔥 her voice is insane, you can feel the energy from like 50 rows back! I mean, its cool she played all the hits but idk about the fan faves tho, cant they just throw in a few more? still tho, the way she told stories and connected with us was EVERYTHING 💫 i loved how she referenced taylor swift too, that's some next gen magic 🧙‍♀️ what really got me was when she said to "dance all night long" after it all... we were ALL DANCING 🎉

I was really looking forward to this rescheduled date but I'm kinda disappointed they didn't include some of Stevie Nicks' older hits 🤔. Like, where's "Rhiannon" or "Landslide"? 🎸 It felt like they played too many of her newer songs and it got a bit repetitive after a while 😴. And yeah, I loved the storytelling part but it would've been nice to hear some more behind-the-scenes stuff about Fleetwood Mac 🤓. Also, can we get a video of her performing live on YouTube ASAP? I didn't catch any of the show and it's killing me 😭💔

I mean, can you believe Stevie Nicks is still killing it like that? 🤯 She's 77 and still got bars for days. I love how she wove this narrative of storytelling into the performance - it made me feel like I was part of her inner circle or something. And those synths on "Stand Back" tho! 🔥 It's amazing how music can transport you to another era, and Stevie Nicks is a master at that.

I did notice she left out some fan favorites though... I get it, you gotta mix it up and focus on what works, but still, it's gonna hurt some diehards who were hyped for those tracks. Maybe next time? 🤷‍♀️ Nonetheless, the energy was electric and Stevie Nicks' dedication to her craft is truly admirable. She's an icon not just because of her music, but because she's a strong, independent woman who's still rocking it like no one's business 💖

🤩 just saw this live performance pics and i'm dyin!! stevie nicks is still giving us all the magic 💫 her voice is so strong it gives me chills every time 🙌 i love how she weaves storytelling into her songs, it makes the experience so much more personal for you 😊 also can't believe she's still killin' it at 77 yrs old 🔥 that stage presence? still got it 💁‍♀️ any fan who missed this performance is seriously missing out

I'm not surprised Stevie Nicks brought the house down 🏠🔥 last night, I mean, have you seen some of those Fleetwood Mac videos from back in the day? The woman can still move! 💃 And I love how she wove her life stories into the show, it's like a rock concert and a therapy session at the same time 🤗. I was a bit bummed she didn't play "Leather and Lace" though, that one is my jam 😔. But overall, it sounds like Stevie still got it 💁‍♀️, and fans are lucky to have her back on tour again! 👏

omg i'm so jealous lol stevie nicks is like a total icon and i love her music so much 🤩 i saw an interview with her once and she's just so cool and mysterious and stuff... i don't know how she does it but she still sounds amazing at 77 😮 what's the deal with fleetwood mac's greatest hits being kinda hard to find on streaming tho? like i know they're super old and all but can't we just have all their songs available or something? 🤔 anyway stevie nicks rocks and i'm so glad she's back on tour! 💥

I loved how she mixed old hits with new stories and experiences from her life... it was like having a conversation with an icon 😊.
