Brian Cashman insists Trent Grisham’s return won’t preclude Yankees from Cody Bellinger pursuit

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this Grisham signing 🤯... I mean, I get it, 34 home runs and all that jazz, but $22m? That's a big chunk of change 💸. And now they're gonna try to shell out even more for Bellinger? I love the optimism, Cashman, but don't you think you're kinda being reckless with those luxury tax dollars? 🤑 I remember when we used to have that "soft" payroll cap and teams could actually make smart moves without breaking the bank... times sure changed fast ⏰. Still rooting for the Yanks though, gotta keep an eye on this one 👀

I think this is gonna be super interesting 🤔. So, they're bringing back Grisham at this crazy-high salary, but it's not like they're worried about breaking the bank or anything 💸. Like, Cashman just straight up said that it's not gonna stop them from going after Bellinger, even if it means blowing their luxury tax budget 🤑. It's all about making a strong push for him, and I get why - Bellinger is an obvious target and he'd be a huge boost to the team.

But what really got me thinking is that Grisham just accepted his qualifying offer, which is like, super weird 💥. I mean, wasn't he supposed to be a free agent this year? Anyway, Cashman says they believe in Grisham's breakout season and think he can maintain it, but it's hard not to wonder about his recent struggles at the plate 🤦‍♂️.

I guess what I'm saying is that the Yankees are taking a risk on Grisham, but if it pays off, that could be huge for their offseason moves 💥. They're gonna have to navigate all this uncertainty and figure out how to fit all these expensive contracts without blowing up their budget 🤑. It's gonna be fun to watch! 🎉

I think its crazy how much faith Brian Cashman has in Trent Grisham after his struggles last year 🤔💸. I mean, 34 home runs with a .811 OPS is definitely impressive, but you can't just ignore the past, right? And now they're gonna try to sign Cody Bellinger on top of that? 😂 That's like trying to put out two fires at once. Either way, I'm all for it - Yankees need someone to shake things up! 🙌
