'It's like arguing with robots': negotiators on the state of Cop30 talks

🤦‍♂️ u guys r so blind... it's not about the money, it's about accountability lol... all these rich countries are just trying to wriggle out of their responsibility, citing "affordability" as an excuse 🤑. newsflash: saving the planet isn't cheap! 🌎 and btw, $210-360bn a year is NOTHING compared to what they're making off fossil fuels... it's about time they put their money where their mouth is 💸. the problem is systemic, not just about cash 💸. richer countries need to step up & be part of the solution 🚀, not just spectators cheering from the sidelines 🤳♂️. and btw, have u seen the carbon footprint of these cop talks? 🌎 it's like they're having a climate party while the planet burns 🔥.

🤔 um, i mean, isn't it kinda weird that rich countries can just say they can't afford to help poor countries adapt to climate change? like, didn't they profit off of exploiting those same resources in the first place? 🤑 and what's with the private sector not wanting to invest in projects because they don't make a profit? shouldn't we be trying to create more sustainable ways to make money instead of just lining our pockets? 💸 i also feel like the whole thing is kinda rigged, you know? rich polluters getting to decide on climate finance... it's like they're trying to control everything. 🚫 and what's up with the $300bn goal not being fulfilled? isn't that supposed to be some kind of promise? 🤷‍♀️ i just wish there was more transparency and accountability in all this, you know? 🌎
