What to stream: 'Pluribus,' 'Death by Lightning,' 'A Star Is Born'

For viewers who've already devoured the entire Ken Burns series, streaming fatigue is real. But fear not – there's always more to sink your teeth into.

Two new shows are making waves on different platforms. For history buffs, "Pluribus" is a post-apocalyptic drama that premiered on Apple TV+ and stars Rhea Seehorn of "Better Call Saul." The series was created by Vince Gilligan, who also brought us the critically acclaimed "Breaking Bad" and its spin-off "El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie."

While it's best to go into this show with minimal prior knowledge, its unique blend of dark humor and thrilling action is sure to captivate fans. New episodes air every Friday on Apple TV+.

In contrast, Netflix's new limited series "Death by Lightning" takes a more grounded approach. Based on the true story of James Garfield's presidency, the show tracks his journey from hopeful candidate to tragic figure, thanks in part to an unwell fan named Charles Guiteau. The series boasts a talented cast, including Michael Shannon as Garfield and Matthew Macfadyen as Guiteau.

Another standout release is the 2018 remake of "A Star Is Born," which stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. The film's raw emotion and memorable soundtrack make it a must-watch for music lovers. If you're ready to get invested in the story, give it a stream on Hulu.

Lastly, wrestling fans can look forward to the new drama series "The Iron Claw," now available on Prime Video. Based on the real-life Von Erich family of athletes, the show explores their personal struggles and the rumored curse that followed them throughout their careers. With a talented cast and gripping storyline, it's a compelling watch.

Whether you're in the mood for something dark and thrilling or heartwarming and emotional, there's a new show to suit your tastes. So grab some popcorn, get cozy, and dive into one of these latest releases.

omg, I'm so hyped for this new "Pluribus" series on Apple TV+ 🤯 I've been a huge fan of Vince Gilligan's work since "Breaking Bad" and now he's back with another mind-blowing show? Rhea Seehorn is an amazing actress and the dark humor + thrilling action combo sounds like exactly what I need to get through this winter 😂 I'm definitely adding it to my watchlist ASAP 👍

[🎥😴] Can't handle all this binge-watching? 🤯 Just remember, it's only streaming fatigue... not a permanent condition 😅. New shows dropping left and right! [📺💻]

omg i'm so down for that new ken burns series i've been binge watching everything he does 🤯 but now its time to try something new. "pluribus" sounds super interesting with that dark humor and action vibes, i'll def be checking it out every friday on apple tv+ 📺 also a star is born remake? lady gaga in anything is always a win for me 💖 and wrestling fans gotta check out the iron claw, von erich family's story is so wild 🤯 what about death by lightning though? anyone know much about james garfield's presidency? 🤔

I feel like we're so caught up in binge-watching our fave shows that we forget to take breaks and give ourselves time to digest what we've watched. It's easy to fall into the trap of streaming fatigue 🤯. But here's the thing: just because a new show drops, doesn't mean you have to watch it all at once! Take your time, savor each episode, and let it sink in 💡. Remember, sometimes it's okay to say no to more content and prioritize self-care instead 😊.

I'm so done with these new shows coming out - I mean, didn't we just watch all the good ones like 5 years ago? 😒 But seriously, have you seen "The Iron Claw"? It's actually really well done - the way they portray the struggles of the Von Erich family is super intense. And let's be real, it's not like we haven't seen any drama in wrestling before... I mean, who needs a TV show when you have the WWE? 🤣 But if you're looking for something that'll actually make you feel all the feels, "A Star Is Born" is still your go-to - Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are just so good together. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack... I'm singing it in the shower every day now! 🎶

Come on don't say streaming fatigue is real. I've got 5 shows lined up on my watchlist and it's only January 🤣, what about all the other amazing content out there? I mean "Pluribus" sounds cool but Apple TV+ has been really quiet lately. "Death by Lightning" though, that's a interesting premise, can't wait to see how they do justice to James Garfield's story 😊. And of course, who doesn't love a good drama about wrestling fams? "The Iron Claw" is calling my name! 🎤

im loving this new wave of shows on streaming platforms! i just binged "The Iron Claw" and it's so captivating 🤯 the von erich family's story is insane, you can feel the drama and tension in each episode. but at the same time, its a great reminder that behind every success story there are personal struggles and flaws 🤔 i also heard good things about "Death by Lightning", the premise sounds fascinating and michael shannon is an amazing actor 🎬 what's your go-to streaming platform for new shows? do you have any recommendations? 👀

I'm so over how much streaming services are churning out content 🤯. Like, I get it, we need more shows to fill our screens, but can't they just take a step back and think about the quality over quantity? I mean, I've already binged "The Crown" three times 😂, but now I'm seeing even more historical dramas like "Pluribus" and "Death by Lightning". Don't get me wrong, I love history, but can't we mix it up a bit? Maybe some original stories or fresh perspectives? And what's with the trend of rebooting old classics like "A Star Is Born"? I'm not saying I don't love Lady Gaga, but come on, let's give some newer artists a chance to shine ✨.

omg u guys i'm so down for some new shows 🤩 i mean, ken burns is amazing but sometimes we need somethin different from his style 📺 apple tv+ just dropped a new post-apocalyptic drama called pluribus and it looks SO good 🔥 rhea seehorn stars in it and it's created by the mastermind behind breaking bad Vince Gilligan 💡 what's not to love? i'm also intrigued by netflix's "death by lightning" - the true story of james garfield's presidency sounds so fascinatin' 🤔 michael shannon as garfield is a major selling point for me 👀

I'm so done with all this streaming service drama 🤯, but at the same time, it's awesome that we've got new shows popping up left and right! "Pluribus" sounds like a wild ride, I'm intrigued by that post-apocalyptic vibe 💥, but for me, it's all about that nostalgic feel – I'm still waiting for someone to make a decent remake of "The Great Gatsby" 🎬. And can we talk about how great it is that Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are killing it in the "A Star Is Born" remake? Music lovers will get their feels on for sure 😊. But, let's be real, I'm still waiting for some decent original content... streaming fatigue is real, but at least there's always something new to look forward to 🤞!

I'm so down for another round of binge-watching 📺👍 but I gotta say, the more history stuff is just not my thing. Give me something with a little action or drama any day 💥😎. I mean, don't get me wrong, "Pluribus" sounds interesting and all, but it's still a post-apocalyptic show... 🤔 I'm good with my fantasy novels, thanks 📚👍. But hey, if you're into that sorta thing, go for it! I'll stick to something with more real-world problems to deal with 😅💪.

I'm telling ya, have you seen the way they're releasing all this content around the same time? It's like they're trying to distract us from something 🤔. Apple TV+, Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video - it's just too convenient. And what's with the timing of "Pluribus" premiering on a Friday every week? It's like they want us to binge-watch before we even have time to think about it 😴. And don't even get me started on "Death by Lightning" and its portrayal of James Garfield's presidency. I'm sure there's more to the story than what they're showing us... 🤐

Ugh, can we talk about how hard it is to navigate all these streaming platforms?! I swear, I'm still trying to figure out how to use Apple TV+, and now there's another one with a bunch of new shows... I mean, I love Ken Burns' stuff, but come on! Can't they just make more content available in one place? And don't even get me started on how much it costs to watch some of these shows. I'm not made of money, you know! 🤑

OMG u guys i just saw the trailer 4 "Pluribus" on Apple TV+ & it looks SO intense 🤯 like rhea seehorn is gonna blow our minds! but at the same time idk if im ready for a post-apocalyptic drama lol its like my brain cant even handle all these new shows rn 😂 we need to make a show rec thread ASAP! 💡

🤦‍♂️ honestly, I'm so sick of shows just dumping their whole history on the user in a single season 📺. Can't they at least give us a decent cliffhanger to make me come back for more? Like, what even happened last week?! 🤔 and another thing, why do all these new shows need to be so long-winded? 10 episodes is just too much for me, can't we have a concise show that actually delivers? 😩

🤩 "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." 💫 It's amazing how many great shows are coming out right now! I'm so excited for new episodes of "Pluribus", "Death by Lightning" and "The Iron Claw". Can't wait to binge-watch them with a bag of popcorn 🍿👀

omg u gotta check out this new show "Pluribus" on Apple TV+ it's like, super dark & twisted lol but in a good way! Vince Gilligan is the genius behind it & he brought us some amazing stuff before, like "Breaking Bad" 🤯. and don't even get me started on the soundtrack - it's like they're speaking my language! 💥 another show that's kinda got my attention is "Death by Lightning" on Netflix, i mean james garfield was already pretty tragic so this show might be a bit too much for some ppl... but if u love true stories & historical drama, it's def worth checking out 📚. and can we talk about the 2018 remake of "A Star Is Born"? lady gaga is EVERYTHING 💖.

📺 I'm loving this wave of new shows on streaming platforms! It's like they're catering specifically to our binge-watching cravings 😂. The post-apocalyptic drama "Pluribus" sounds super intriguing with its blend of dark humor and action, while "Death by Lightning" offers a gripping historical take on James Garfield's presidency. And can we talk about the music in "A Star Is Born"? Lady Gaga slays as an artist – her voice gives me chills every time 🎶. I'm definitely checking out "The Iron Claw" next, the idea of a cursed wrestling family is just so juicy 💁‍♀️. Has anyone else caught any of these shows yet? 👀
