An update on the Eagles' projected compensatory picks for the losses of Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and Mekhi Becton

Eagles' Compensatory Picks Update: Williams, Sweat, and Becton's Futures Look Bleak

The Philadelphia Eagles lost four "CFAs" – compensatory free agents – in 2025 free agency: Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, Mekhi Becton, and Isaiah Rodgers. The team gained one CFA, Azeez Ojulari. This means that the Eagles would have received projected third-round, fourth-round, and fifth-round picks for the losses of Williams, Sweat, and Becton, respectively.

However, the Eagles' prospects are bleak given their players' current playing time benchmarks. For Milton Williams, he needs to play around 28% of the Patriots' regular season defensive snaps to qualify for a third-round compensatory pick. Despite being placed on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, Williams has played 61% of defensive snaps so far this season and will still fall within that range if the Patriots stay on pace.

Josh Sweat, who only needed to play about 7% of the Cardinals' defensive snaps to stay in the fourth-round tier, has comfortably exceeded that threshold by playing 360 of a possible 657 snaps. His chances of earning a fifth-round pick have been solidified.

Mekhi Becton's situation is more uncertain. He needs to play 53% of the Chargers' offensive snaps to stay in the fifth-round tier. However, he has already played 69% of snaps this season and has yet to achieve that mark. With significant playing time missing due to injury and a recent benching by coach Jim Harbaugh, Becton's chances of earning a sixth-round pick have become increasingly likely.

The Eagles' projected compensatory picks for Williams, Sweat, and Becton are rapidly fading away due to their current performance on the field. Fans can only hope that these players will find their footing soon, or else the Eagles' gains in this offseason may not be worth the cost.

🤔 man i feel like the eagles made a big mistake by releasing those 3 players they needed to hold down the defensive line and now they're stuck with nothing 📉 it's like they think those new guys are gonna step up and fill the void right away but that's not how it works especially when you have high expectations 👀

i mean wilson needs to play way more snaps than he is and sweat is already playing a ton so we'll see if he can keep that up 📊 but becton's situation is just sketchy right now i don't know what to make of him 😒

man i feel bad for mills.. he got hurt like 3 times already 🤕 and hes still trying to prove himself... if he cant get back to his form, 3rd round pick is def a stretch 🤦‍♂️ on the other hand, josh sweat is on fire 🔥 burning through snaps left and right, hope he keeps it up! but becton man... he had some decent games before getting benched what went wrong there? 😕

ugh i feel like the eagles are just throwing good money after bad 🤑 with all the compensatory picks they lost to other teams and now their guys aren't even playing enough to get those picks 🤦‍♂️ milton williams needs to step up big time, or else his third-round pick is gonna be a pipe dream 😴 and sweat is like who cares about fifth round picks, just give him a contract extension already 💸 becton's situation is super uncertain but i think he deserves better than sixth round pick 🤷‍♂️

the eagles need to make some tough decisions about who's still part of the team 🤔 they've got some talented young guys, but it looks like some of them are gonna fall by the wayside if they can't step up their game 👀 meh, i guess that's just how it goes in the nfl

Wow 😅 those guys gotta step up fast, losing that many CFAs is huge for a team! Interesting how Sweat's playing time is way above what he needs to qualify for a fifth-round pick, still got faith in him tho 🤞

Ugh, I'm getting a little worried about the Eagles' CFA situation 🤕. It's like they're giving away draft picks left and right, and it's all because of these guys' playing time. I mean, Milton Williams is already putting in 61% of snaps, but he still needs to hit that 28% mark to get a third-round pick... that's crazy 🤯. And Josh Sweat is like, what's the deal with him? He only needed 7% of snaps for a fourth-round pick and now he's at 360 out of 657... it's just not adding up.

But you know who's got me feeling even more disappointed? Mekhi Becton 😔. The guy needs to play 53% of snaps for a fifth-round pick, but he's already at 69% and hasn't even reached that mark yet. It's like the Eagles are setting themselves up for disappointment here.

I remember back in '05, we used to call out those kinda moves as "draft pick dumpster diving"... I guess it's still true today 📦. Fans can only hope these guys turn their performances around, or else all that hard work this offseason might've been for nothing 😕.

its crazy how much playing time u need 2 qualify for those comp picks 🤯💡

lets look at stats:
- Milton Williams: currently @ 61% of snaps, needs 28% 2 qualify 4 a 3rd round pick (avg 1.35 million dollars) 👀
- Josh Sweat: already smashed his target 360/657 🚀, making a fifth-round pick all but a done deal 💸
- Mekhi Becton: playing @ 69% of snaps, needs 53% 2 qualify 4 a sixth-round pick (avg .8 million) 🤔

if u want me 2 dig up more numbers or stats lmk! 📊

🤔 The way the NFL teams calculate compensatory picks is so weird! Like, who needs a third-round pick to even come close to having a decent defense? And what's up with Mekhi Becton needing 53% of snaps just to get in the running for a fifth-round pick? It's like they're expecting him to be perfect or something. 🤷‍♂️ The Eagles are really missing out on some valuable talent and it's not looking good for them this season...

man, i feel like the eagles are getting robbed with these comp picks...milton williams is already playing like 61% of snaps and he's gonna miss out on a third round pick? 🤦‍♂️ that just dont sit right with me...and sweat is crushing it but becton's situation is super weird...i mean, if he doesn't get back to health and get playing time soon, those comp picks are gone for good 💔

omg i cant believe how fast those guys are losing value 🤯 it's like they need to actually start playing like their projected picks for us to care about them again 💪 i mean wilfred niles needs to at least get 20% of snaps for the eagles to even consider him a cfa, that's just crazy 😅 and mekhis situation is def not looking good right now 🤕 hopefully he gets more time on the field soon so we can see if he has what it takes

ugh i feel bad for those eagles fans 🤕 they're like "hey we just lost some awesome players but at least we got a lil bit back" meanwhile those players are overworking themselves to try and get on the field 🏈💪 becton's situation is super sketchy, like what's gonna happen if he doesn't get his act together? will they just cut him or what?? i'm rooting for sweat tho, he seems like a solid player 😊

I gotta say, I'm a bit concerned about those young players the Eagles lost to free agency 😬. It seems like they've got some big shoes to fill if they wanna get those compensatory picks. I mean, Williams and Sweat are already way ahead of where they need to be - 61% and 360 snaps respectively? That's crazy talk! 🤯 And Becton's situation is a bit more complicated, but still, it's like he's gotta go on fire for a few weeks to make those picks happen. 😅 I'm not giving up hope just yet though, 'cause we've seen some of these young guys bounce back from injuries before. The key is just getting them healthy and letting them show what they can do. Fingers crossed! 🤞

Man, I was so hyped about the Eagles makin' those moves in free agency... but now it seems like they're gonna miss out on some decent picks 🤕. I mean, Sweat is killin' it right now and needs to play even less than Williams to get that third-round pick. Becton's situation is super sketchy though, I don't know how he's supposed to turn things around after bein' benched by Harbaugh 😬. It's like the Eagles thought they were just gonna magically fix their problems with these guys... but I guess you can't force it, right? 🤷‍♂️

I don’t usually comment but it’s crazy how much pressure there is on those players to perform now... I mean, they're already doing way more than what's expected of them just to get into the right tier for a compensatory pick 🤯. It's like, can't we just give them some breathing room? I don’t think playing 360 snaps or even surpassing that threshold is a fair expectation, you know? And yeah, Mekhi Becton's situation is sketchy, I feel bad for the guy... 69% of snaps already and he still hasn’t reached that mark 🤦‍♂️. It’s like, take your time, heal up, or whatever 😐. Can't we just enjoy the game without all these added stressors?

🤦‍♂️ I mean, come on guys! You're gonna lose out on some decent compensatory picks because you're not putting your best foot forward...literally 😂. Williams needs to play like 28% of snaps for a third-round pick? No problemo, just casually injure yourself and then magically start playing again with no setbacks 🤷‍♂️. And Sweat's just burning through snaps like they're going outta style 🔥. Can't wait to see how Becton's comeback story unfolds...or if it even happens at all 📚💔

omg i cant believe its already happening 🤯 - our eagles losing those cfas is a huge blow im watching milton williams play and hes literally been getting so much time with 61% of snaps but still hes not at that 28% mark lol its like he needs to break some magic number or something 😂 and josh sweat is playing way too much already 🤪 his chances of getting a fifth round pick are looking super solid tho 💯

man I'm loving the eagles offseason moves so far but milton wills needs to step up big time 🤦‍♂️ his playing time is pretty decent but it's not like he's dominating or anything... and sweat is just straight up racking up those snaps 💨 what's going on with becton tho? got benched by harbaugh already... seems like a 5th round pick is more of a pipe dream for him 🤔

🤔 man... what's going on with these guys? i mean i get it, they're trying to play but it feels like they're struggling to keep up. williams is already injured and he's still getting a ton of snaps? sweat is just crushing it but it's not like that's gonna guarantee him a pick if he doesn't stay healthy. and becton... poor guy. i feel bad for the dude. his chances are slipping away fast because he can't get consistent playing time. it's tough to watch when you're hoping these guys will turn things around, but it seems like the clock is ticking 🕰️

ugh man i feel bad 4 milton wills, he's been hurt 2 start w/ the patriots & now hes on ir 🤕 360 snaps is crazy 4 josh sweat tho but becton's situation is like woah 🤯 53% of snaps? that's like a miracle, hopefully hes gets healthy ASAP
