Packers beat Lions to open Thanksgiving behind 4 TDs from Love

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love scored four touchdowns in the team's 31-24 win over the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day. The performance marked a career-high for Love, who completed 18 of 30 passes for 234 yards.

Love threw touchdown passes to wide receivers Christian Watson and Dontayvion Wicks on fourth down twice, including one with just two minutes remaining that sealed the victory. He also connected with Watson for a long touchdown pass in the third quarter, increasing Green Bay's lead.

The win puts the Packers (8-3-1) in second place in the NFC North behind the Chicago Bears (8-3), who play on Friday. The Lions (7-5) entered the game out of playoff contention but fell further back with the loss.

Jordan Love finished with a career-high 234 passing yards and four touchdown passes, while Christian Watson had two touchdowns and 122 receiving yards for Green Bay. For the Lions, wide receiver Jameson Williams caught seven passes for 144 yards and a touchdown.

Detroit's Jahmyr Gibbs was held in check, running for 68 yards on 20 carries but failing to catch three passes. The Lions' defense struggled with fourth-down conversions, allowing the Packers to convert twice.

.. this is just another example of how rigged the NFL can be... I mean, Jordan Love is like a complete unknown guy and he just happens to have an epic game against Detroit? Like, what are the chances? And don't even get me started on Christian Watson, that dude's gotta be getting paid by Green Bay or something...

And have you seen the stats for Jahmyr Gibbs? He's basically stuck in neutral, running into nothing but a wall... it's like the Lions' coaching staff just gave up on him. I'm not buying the whole "injury" excuse either... and what's with the Packers' defense being so effective on fourth down? That's just not how it's supposed to work.

It's all just another example of the system being stacked against the underdog...

Man, that Jordan Love is on fire πŸ”₯! I'm not surprised he put up those numbers, he's been playing good football all season long πŸ’―. But what really gets me is how clutch he was in crunch time πŸ•°οΈ. That fourth-down TD pass to Watson with just 2 minutes left? Unreal 😲. And the way the Lions' defense struggled on 4th down conversions? Unbelievable πŸ˜‚. I mean, you can't win games if you can't stop the other team from getting first downs, right? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. Anyway, the Packers are definitely looking strong in the NFC North, and it'll be interesting to see how they stack up against the Bears this week πŸ‘€.

idk how love did it this thx, 4 touchdowns is insane! 🀯 he's like a totally different player than last season πŸ˜… gotta keep an eye on watson too, he's killin it! πŸ’₯ and 8-3-1 for the packers? that's crazy! should be fun to watch them take on the bears this wkend πŸˆπŸ‘€

The Packers are getting some serious momentum with that win, you know? I think Love's performance is a big deal - four touchdowns is insane! And it's not just about the stats, he seemed really calm under pressure which is what you need in a quarterback. The Lions were expected to give them a tough game but they just couldn't contain Love and Watson on fourth down 🀯. The Packers are now in second place in the NFC North and I think this win could be a big momentum booster for them going into the rest of the season.

I'm loving the excitement of NFL season 🏈! Jordan Love's performance was absolutely electric, especially that last-second touchdown pass 😲. It's crazy how much difference he can make on the field. I think his improvement is a big reason why Green Bay's winning streaks keep rolling πŸ“ˆ.

Now that they're in second place in the NFC North, I'm keeping an eye on the Chicago Bears' upcoming game πŸ‘€. But for now, let's give it up to Jordan Love and Christian Watson - their chemistry on the field is undeniable πŸ’ͺ!

idk how much more u can take from this nfl season lol πŸ˜‚ jordan love is straight fire right now! i mean 4 touchdowns in one game is insane. he's been playing so well lately and it's about time ppl recognize him as a real threat 🀯 the packers are looking good too, but that bears team gotta step up their game somehow 🚫 whoever wins nfc north tho gets a pretty sweet home field advantage in the playoffs, right? and detroit's defense is just... 😴 how do they expect to make the playoffs with that squad?

omg the packer QB jordan love just went WILD 🀯🏈! 4 touchdowns is insane! and that last minute TD pass was like the ultimate game winner πŸ˜‚πŸ’₯ i drew a quick diagram of the final play btw πŸ“

anywayz, love's career-high yards and TDs is no joke! the packers are lookin good in the nfc north πŸ”΅πŸˆ

I'm telling you, something fishy went down today 🐟. Like, have you seen Jordan Love's stats? 234 yards and 4 TDs in one game? That's just not humanly possible, if you ask me 🀯. And what's with the Lions' defense struggling so bad on fourth downs? It's like they were expecting it to happen or something πŸ˜’. I mean, I'm not saying Jordan Love is a superhero or anything, but this guy seems way too good to be true πŸ’ͺ. And let's be real, the Packers just won to move into second place in the NFC North... sounds like they're trying to distract us from something πŸ€”.

awww man... love saw that epic performance from jordan love 🀩❀️. four touchdowns? thats insane! he really showed what he's capable of out there on thansgiving day 😊. christian watson had a great game too, two touchdowns and 122 receiving yards... they make such a killer combo πŸ’•. the packers are looking strong now, hope they can keep it up till the end of the season 🀞. poor detroit tho, fell even further back with that loss πŸ˜”. love's career-high passing yards was insane though... 234 and four touchdowns? what a way to celebrate thansgiving πŸŽ‰!
