I'm so over the puzzles on The New York Times website... I mean, don't get me wrong, they're fun and all, but can't they just give us a break from them for one day? I swear, every time I think I've figured it out, there's some tiny detail that throws me off. And the hints? Forget about it! They're always so vague. "Try something new" or "think outside the box"... yeah right, like I'm not already thinking outside my box...

And have you noticed how they always try to tie in these super obscure references? Like, who even knows what Jiminy Cricket's song is? And then we're expected to go around solving some puzzle for it. It feels like they're just trying to test our knowledge or something.

Just played this Strands thingy and I gotta say, it's pretty addictive . The hints are super helpful, but you still need to put some brain cells together . I mean, it's okay, but it feels a bit too easy for me. Like, where's the challenge? I guess what really gets my goat is that some of the solutions felt like they came out of thin air (no pun intended ). im thinking the new strnds puzzle game is actually pretty cool its like they took all these classic word search games and threw them into a blender with some unexpected ingredients. the hints are super helpful but still give you just enough to think for yourself. i was on the edge of my seat trying to figure out that spangram makeawish is such a great word, by the way. but overall its not perfect - sometimes i feel like i'm stuck in an infinite loop of trying different letters and getting nowhere fast still, i love how it challenges you without being frustratingly hard to solve. will have to check out their other puzzle games
