Heavyweight boxer Frazer Clarke has called out his opponent Jeamie 'TKV' Tshikeva as "fighting for his career", while TKV believes that a loss could be the beginning of the end of Clarke's professional boxing career. The two will face off in the vacant British heavyweight title at Derby's Vaillant Arena on Saturday, to be shown live on BBC Two from 20:00 GMT.
Clarke, 34, said he is fighting for his future and to "buy more time", while TKV, 32, believes that a defeat could mean Clarke's professional career will come to an end. The bout was originally set for October 25 but was postponed after TKV sustained a rib injury.
The tension between the two boxers has been building up over social media, with TKV calling Clarke "a thug" and Clarke responding by saying that he is not his dad. At a tense news conference, tensions boiled over when TKV stepped in front of Clarke during the posed photographs, prompting Clarke to walk away.
The fight marks the first event in a new partnership between BBC Sport and Boxxer. In the chief support, 21-year-old British bantamweight Francesca Hennessy will take on former atomweight world champion Fabiana Bytyqi from the Czech Republic.
Hennessy has won all six of her pro bouts and is known for her showmanship and dancing during ring walks. The card will be the first boxing event on BBC linear television in 20 years, with presenter Bradley Goldsmith set to face Jordan Dujon in a middleweight bout.
Clarke has said that victory could set up a trilogy bout with WBO champion Fabio Wardley and a shot at a world title. Clarke also drew with current WBO champion Fabio Wardley when they met for the British title in March 2024, before Wardley stopped him in the first round of their subsequent rematch - Clarke's only loss in 11 pro fights.
The event will be shown live on BBC Two from 20:00 GMT and can be watched from 18:00 on BBC iPlayer.
