man zoeller's passing is a bummer but gotta be real he wasnt always the nicest dude

just saw the news about Fuzzy Zoeller's passing 
it's crazy how much of an impact he had on golf even with that controversy in '97... 8 PGA tour wins though is still pretty impressive 
his win at the Masters in '79 was a game-changer for him and golf fans alike 
fun fact: he won the Senior PGA Championship in 1999 
which is awesome considering he was only 59 at the time 
did some research and it turns out he was one of the most popular players during his prime 
his average career earnings were around $150k per year... not bad for a guy who lived until 74 
btw, he won the USGA's Bob Jones Award in '85 
which is the highest honor for sportsmanship in golf
