this is literally the most epic thing i've heard all year! imagine being able to contribute real science to nasa's earth observation program and seeing your data side by side with satellite images... it's like, total mind blown!!! i mean can you even think of a better way to get people excited about environmental science than making them feel like they're part of something bigger than themselves? 
this is exactly what needs to happen, we need more community-led initiatives that show us the power of our collective curiosity and passion for discovery. and let's be real, who wouldn't want to get an email from nasa saying "hey your data matches the satellite image 99.9%"?
