Transportation secretary says flyers should 'dress up.' Here's what people wore to the Philly airport 50 years ago

Umm... I'm like really confused about what's going on here 🤔. So, Sean Duffy is saying that dressing up will solve all our problems with air travel outbursts? Like, what about people who can't afford fancy clothes or are just not into that whole 'dressing up' thing? And isn't it kinda weird to use Frank Sinatra's song from the 1950s to make a point about modern-day air travelers wearing sneakers? 🎤 I mean, back in those days, people were still being rude on planes too... but at least they looked nice doing it 😂. What do you guys think is the real issue here? Should we really be focusing on what people wear instead of, like, actual problems with flights and air traffic controllers? 🚫💥

Dressing up for flights might sound like an easy fix, but come on... 🤷‍♂️ it's not that simple! I mean, I get what Secretary Duffy is trying to say – we should all aim to be more civil and respectful in public spaces, including airplanes. But, let's not pretend that people have suddenly become more unruly overnight or that dressing up would magically solve the problem.

We need to look at some of the bigger issues here, like the increasing stress on our air traffic system, staff shortages, and consumer protections being eroded. Those are the real culprits behind the rise in flight disruptions, not what we're wearing. And let's be real, people have always been diverse when it comes to fashion – look at those vintage pics from Philly airport! 👗🕺 You've got heels, ties, skirts, and even bell bottoms – it wasn't all about fancy dress back then.

So, yeah, dress up, sure... but not as a solution to our air travel woes. That's just not how it works. We need some real changes in the way we're doing things here, like investing in better infrastructure and staff training. 👍

I gotta say, I'm low-key amused by Sean Duffy's suggestion 🤣. Like, who needs fancy clothes to behave better on planes? It feels like he's trying to make us feel guilty about being ourselves instead of actually addressing the real issues with air travel. And what's up with the PSA music change from classic vibes to recent footage of people in their PJs? 😂 It's all a bit cringeworthy, if you ask me. I mean, can't he just talk about the actual problems with flight disruptions and how we can fix them instead of trying to make us dress up like 50s stars? 🙄

Ugh dont get me wrong Sean Duffy is trying to say somethin but i feel like he's out of touch 🙄. I mean who says jeans and a decent shirt is the answer? That's not gonna fix anything, especially when you're dealin with outdated systems and understaffed airports. And what about all the people who are already flyin low or who can't afford to dress up? It's like he's expectin us to just magically become more polite without addressin the real issues 🚫.

And that PSA? More cringeworthy than a 5-year-old's birthday party 🎉. Frank Sinatra's song is iconic but come on, taking it in an ugly direction like that? And those vintage pics of people dressin up are cute and all, but let's be real, airport fashion was diverse back then too 🤷‍♀️.

We need actual solutions to our air travel problems, not just some superficial attempt to make us feel better about ourselves 💔.
