Four Australians have been charged in connection with an alleged international network involved in the distribution of satanic child sex abuse material. The investigation, led by detectives from Strike Force Constantine, uncovered a Sydney-based ring that was actively possessing and sharing this content.
The group allegedly operated a website that was administered internationally, with police saying they disrupted their operations as part of the inquiry. In total, six search warrants were carried out in Waterloo, Ultimo, and Malabar, resulting in the arrest of four men.
A 26-year-old man from Waterloo was charged with leading roles in various crimes including possession of child abuse material, making available child abuse material, and distributing bestiality content. He was refused bail to appear in court last Friday.
Three other men aged 46, 42, and 39 were arrested at a unit block in Malabar and also charged with possessing child abuse material. All four men are due to return to court at a later date.
The investigation is believed to be part of an ongoing effort to combat the online distribution of child sexual abuse material. Authorities have not specified whether any international connections have been established.
