Prisoner 951 review – this defiant Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe drama makes Britain look ridiculous

πŸ€” This show is so intense it'll leave you feeling drained but also hopeful at the same time... I mean Nazanin's story is just heartbreaking, being trapped and not knowing when or if she'll be released. The way they portray the powerlessness of the British government in that situation is really frustrating - it feels like they were more worried about their own reputation than actually helping her.

And can we talk about how well Joseph Fiennes does as Richard? He's so convincing as this man who's losing his grip on reality... but at the same time, you can see the love and hope in him. And Narges Rashidi is amazing too - she brings this fire to Nazanin that just draws you in.

What bothers me though is how the show glosses over some of the more complex issues with the Iranian regime... it feels like they're only scratching the surface, but I guess that's true for a drama and all. Overall, though, "Prisoner 951" is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest times, there's always hope - and sometimes, all it takes is someone to believe in you. πŸ’•

I'm low-key bawling my eyes out after watching this series πŸ€―πŸ‘€ It's crazy how the British government's indifference towards Nazanin's situation is still so hard to swallow. I mean, Prime Minister Johnson was literally in parliament and didn't know what was going on with his own wife... that's some messed up stuff πŸ˜‚.

The way the show handles the pacing can be slow at times, but it's like they're saying, "Hey, this is real life for Nazanin – not everyone gets a happy ending". But honestly, Joseph Fiennes' performance as Richard is giving me LIFE πŸ’– He's so vulnerable and fragile, I feel bad for him. And Narges Rashidi as Nazanin? She's like the ultimate strong woman - her character has so much depth and resilience.

What really got to me was how the show humanises the Iranian regime's actions – it's not just some faceless enemy, but a complex system that affects real people. It's like, we can't just turn a blind eye to someone's suffering because of politics or whatever πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

"Prisoner 951" might be a drama, but it's also a love story – a reminder that even in the darkest times, hope and human connection can get you through. We need more shows like this right now πŸ’•

omg just watched this series and i'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster it took me on 🀯 as someone who's passionate about human rights, it's so infuriating to see how the british government handled nazanin's case - like, what kind of governance is that?! 😱 at least the show shines a light on the importance of hope and love in the face of all this oppression. Joseph Fiennes and Narges Rashidi's performances are just wow - they bring so much depth to their characters ❀️ ugh i'm still getting chills thinking about nazanin's journey... she's literally an inspiration πŸ™Œ

this show is so emotionally draining I felt like i was right there with nazanin & richard the whole time 🀯 it highlights the fact that the uk government wasn't even doing its job properly back then, which is just shameful they were more worried about their own relations than helping nazanin in need what's even crazier is how some ppl still think politics & international relations should be prioritized over human lives πŸ™„ i'm all for diplomacy and cooperation but not at the expense of basic human decency πŸ‘Ž

man this show is so intense 🀯 i dont even know how nazanin coped with all that mental & physical trauma 😩 it's like you're right there with her, feeling her desperation & frustration. the way they portray the british govts lack of care about her situation is just heartbreaking πŸ™„ boris johnson is literally the most clueless pm ever πŸ’β€β™‚οΈ and liz truss is just a blank slate lolol πŸ˜‚ but seriously tho, this show is all about hope & love in the face of oppression 🌟 nazanin's story needs to be told & we need more ppl like her who refused to give up πŸ‘Š
