A young man of 38 has been brutally gunned down in a senseless act of violence on Chicago's Far South Side. The tragic incident occurred just before dawn, around 6 am, when the victim was found lying lifeless outside his home in the 10600 block of South State Street.

Eyewitnesses report that the victim had suffered at least one gunshot wound to the head, which ultimately proved fatal. Despite efforts to revive him, paramedics were unable to save the young man's life. Fortunately, no other individuals were injured in the attack.

As authorities continue to investigate the shocking crime scene, police have yet to make any arrests or identify a suspect. The Area 2 detectives are working diligently to piece together the events surrounding the murder and determine what drove this senseless act of violence.

come on, 38 is getting up there to be considered "young" these days... maybe the victim was just more mature than his years? and what's with the appeal for info not being super effective? like, if people really knew something, wouldn't they be coming forward by now 🤔... or maybe we should just stop expecting everyone to be a hero and just hope the cops figure it out on their own 🙃
