Website to provide updates on Batavia chiropractor over alleged hidden-camera recordings

Local Chiropractor's Webpage Set Up to Inform Patients of Allegations

The Kane County state's attorney's office has launched a dedicated website to provide regular updates on its investigation into David Hanson, the chiropractor accused of secretly recording his patients while they were undressed and being treated. The move comes after Hanson was arrested in early November, charged with multiple counts of producing and sharing child pornography, possessing child pornography, and unauthorized video recording of a minor.

According to investigators, Hanson hid cameras in his office and recorded over 180 patients, including children and adults. As the investigation continues, the office has received over 1,500 calls and emails from potential victims, with many taking advantage of the office's tip line to report their experiences or come forward as possible victims.

The office has stated that investigators believe Hanson acted alone, and no evidence suggests his family or employees were aware of his alleged activities. Despite this, Hanson's attorney remains tight-lipped about the case, refusing to comment on the ongoing investigation.

In addition to the criminal charges, Hanson is also facing multiple civil lawsuits from patients who claim he invaded their privacy, was negligent in his treatment, and breached consumer protection laws. Two children and their mother and grandmother filed a suit last month alleging privacy invasion, negligence, and violating Illinois' Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act.

As investigators continue to identify victims and gather evidence, the website will provide updates on the progress of the case. Hanson is currently being held in jail pending his January court appearance.

🤦‍♂️ this guy's got some serious talent for getting himself caught... I mean, who else but a chiropractor would think it's a good idea to record patients while they're naked? 🙄 the fact that he hid cameras in his office and recorded over 180 people is just crazy, and now there are over 1,500 people coming forward as potential victims... talk about a bad rap. 💔

😱🤯 this is like something out of a horror movie you can't believe some people would record patients without consent or consent would be given after they're fully dressed and then what he's accused of now is just insane 180+ victims which is crazy to think about how could one person do that to so many people 🤔

omg this guy's a total creep 🤯🚫 he's going to be behind bars for a looong time and hopefully he'll get some serious therapy to deal with his issues 😩 meanwhile these poor victims have been through so much already, it's heartbreaking that they even have to come forward like this... the fact that he recorded all those people without their consent is just disgusting 🤢 and now he's got a whole bunch of civil lawsuits coming after him too, this case is a total mess 😩

🤔 I'm telling ya, it's all about accountability! But, at the same time, how can we trust that these patients are really coming forward? I mean, think about it... 1,500 calls and emails from potential victims? That sounds like a lot of folks looking for attention to me. And what if Hanson's family or employees did know something? They wouldn't just sit back and let their brother/father/ colleague get away with this, right? 😕 But, on the other hand, maybe they didn't know anything... like they're saying. It's all so confusing! 🙄

This is just insane 🤯... I mean, who does that?! A chiropractor sets up cameras in his office to record patients and it's like something out of a bad movie. And to think he was supposed to be helping people with their back pain! The fact that he had over 180 patients recording without consent is just horrific 🤢.

I'm so glad the authorities are taking this seriously and are giving victims a platform to come forward. It's not easy for them, I can imagine. And the civil lawsuits against him? Yeah, that's well-deserved. He needs to be held accountable for his actions.

The fact that his family and employees didn't know about it is just another level of creepiness 🙅‍♂️. I mean, who hides cameras in their office?! It's like he thought no one would ever find out. But the internet is a powerful tool and now everyone knows what he did.

I hope justice is served when he's in court next month 👮. Maybe someone can learn from his mistakes and change their ways for good 💡.

This whole thing just got super politicized for me 🤔 - think about it, we're all talking about this chiropractor's shady practices, but what does that say about our healthcare system? Are we really just trusting these people with our bodies and personal info without even questioning them? 🤷‍♀️ I mean, should there be more regulations in place to prevent something like this from happening again? It's wild to think that over 1,500 calls and emails have been coming in, but what about the ones who aren't coming forward? Are they too scared or too silenced? 💔 We need to start having these conversations and holding people in power accountable for their actions. It's not just about Hanson; it's about creating a culture where our voices are heard and our boundaries are respected 🗣️

🚨 This whole thing is just so messed up... I mean, can you even imagine walking into a doctor's office thinking they're getting a check-up and instead finding out they've been secretly recorded? 🤯 The fact that he was able to hide cameras in his office for who knows how long is just disgusting. And the worst part is that there are likely so many more victims who haven't come forward yet... I hope the investigators are able to catch everyone involved and bring them to justice ASAP. 😩

I'm literally shook by this news... I mean, how could someone betray that level of trust with their patients like that?! 🤯 A chiropractor who's supposed to be helping people feel better is secretly recording them and sharing that footage around?! It's just sickening.

And the fact that he hid cameras in his office and recorded over 180 patients, including kids... it's like he thought he was above the law or something. But the good news is that the authorities are taking this super seriously and are doing everything they can to catch the rest of the perpetrators (if there are any) and give justice to the victims.

I'm also glad that the Kane County state's attorney's office has set up a website for people to report their experiences or come forward as possible victims. It's amazing how many calls and emails they've gotten already - over 1,500! That just goes to show that there are still good people out there who care about these issues.

The fact that Hanson is facing multiple civil lawsuits from patients who claim he invaded their privacy and was negligent in his treatment... it just gets worse. I hope the court throws him some serious consequences for what he's done. And hopefully, this case serves as a warning to other healthcare professionals to respect patient boundaries and follow proper protocols. 💔

Ugh, this chiropractor's behavior is just disgusting 🤢. I mean, who records patients without their consent? It's like a total invasion of privacy. And to make matters worse, he was doing it with kids and adults alike... what is wrong with some people? The fact that his family and employees were oblivious to his actions doesn't excuse what he did at all. And now there are multiple civil lawsuits against him for breach of consumer protection laws, which is totally justified. He's lucky he's not facing more serious charges considering the number of victims who've come forward 🤯. I'm glad the state's attorney's office has set up a website to provide updates on the case, though... at least now people know what's going on and can support the victims in any way they can 💔.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this 😱. I mean, how does someone like David Hanson even get away with it for so long? I remember back in the day, you had to be pretty tech-savvy to set up a decent webcam 🤖. And even then, it was kinda hard to go unnoticed by authorities. I guess that's what happens when you're a chiropractor who's supposed to be helping people, not secretly recording them 😒. The fact that he hid cameras in his office and recorded patients without their knowledge is just plain creepy.

can you imagine walking into a room where someone's been recording you without your consent? 😱 it's like something out of a bad movie. and this chiropractor was literally hiding cameras in his office... i mean, what kind of sick person does that? 🤯 the fact that he recorded over 180 patients is just mind-boggling to me. i hope those who were affected by his actions get some justice soon. it's just awful that people have to go through this kind of trauma because of someone else's twisted desires. my heart goes out to all the victims 🤕
