U.S. halts all immigration cases — including citizenship ceremonies — for nationals of 19 countries, internal guidance says

I'm thoroughly unsettled by this recent development 🤯. The notion that 19 countries are now facing a near-total travel ban, effectively putting the lives of individuals seeking a better life in America at risk, is utterly perplexing. It's disconcerting to consider the implications of such drastic measures on the global community, particularly when there's no clear evidence linking these nations to terrorism or national security threats 🌎. The fact that asylum seekers and those already granted asylum are also caught in this web is downright disturbing 😕. One can't help but wonder what the long-term effects will be on the US's international reputation and its role as a beacon of hope for immigrants worldwide 🚨.

🤔 so they're just gonna pause everything because of some random shooting in D.C.? feels like they're playing catch-up 🙄. I mean, sure, national security is a big deal and all that, but come on... 19 countries? That's like, almost everyone 🌎. And what about the people who were already like "oh cool, I'm gonna be an American citizen now"? All that effort just gets halted 💔. Guess you could say they're just trying to slow down immigration a bit... but not really addressing the root issues 🤷‍♂️. Anyway, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this all plays out ⏰.
