Prestigious European Comics Festival Canceled Following Boycotts

omg what a mess 🤯 9e Art+ gotta go their toxic management is like, super problematic I remember when they announced that Bastien Vivès exhibit back in 2022 everyone was all up in arms about the content lol but honestly it's just one of many issues with this festival they need major reforms ASAP and some serious recognition for female creators too girl power 💁‍♀️🎨

I'm so bummed about this news 🤕. It just goes to show how toxic environments can ruin events meant to celebrate creativity and self-expression. I mean, who needs that kind of negativity in the comic book community? 🚫 The fact that a woman was even dismissed from her job after reporting a sex assault is absolutely unacceptable 💔. Can you imagine if someone had spoken out against sexual harassment or assault at a different event? There would be outrage, and rightfully so! But it's not like this kind of behavior is unusual in the industry... it's just that now we're paying attention to it 🗣️. The comics community needs to come together and support each other more, instead of turning on creators who speak out against injustice 💪. Maybe this cancellation will be a wake-up call for 9e Art+ to do some serious soul-searching and reforms? Fingers crossed that the festival can be revived in the future 🌟.

Ugh, what a mess 🤯... I mean, who needs toxic management in any industry, let alone one where creativity is supposed to thrive? I've been following this whole thing from afar, and it's just heartbreaking to see female creators being snubbed and dismissed for speaking out. The lack of recognition and support for marginalized voices is a huge part of the problem 🤦‍♀️.

I'm not surprised that creators are pushing back against 9e Art+'s leadership, though. It's like they're playing with fire 🔥... The whole thing just stinks of privilege and entitlement. I hope whoever takes over the festival next can bring some real change and accountability to the table 🙏. We need more inclusive and equitable spaces for creators to showcase their work and connect with their audience 💖.

😕 the cancelation is a shame, but i'm not surprised... all this toxic drama has been going on for months and it's only a matter of time before someone pulls the plug 🤦‍♀️ sources have been showing the same allegations against 9e Art+ since last year... some people are saying it's just an excuse to get out of hosting a big event, but i think there's definitely something fishy going on 🐟 Franck Bondoux needs to come clean about what really went down at the festival 🤔
