These Beloved TV Shows Are Leaving Netflix In December — Watch Them While You Can

Netflix is Ditching These Beloved TV Shows and Movies This December: Here's Your Last Chance to Binge

In a month that promises to be packed with new releases, including the final episodes of Stranger Things and the return of Emily in Paris Season 5, Netflix is also saying goodbye to several popular shows. As part of its annual tradition, the streaming giant announced on November 25 that it will be removing dozens of TV series and movies from its platform by December.

Among the departures are fan-favorite shows like How I Met Your Mother, which aired for nine seasons before leaving Netflix on December 3, but remains available on Hulu and Disney+. Another beloved series to bid farewell is Supernatural, the long-running CW hit about two brothers battling supernatural creatures. Although its final episode leaves Netflix on December 18, fans can still catch up with all 15 seasons on Peacock starting a week later.

Other popular shows and movies leaving Netflix in December include Arrow, which will exit the platform on December 18 after its first season debuted in October 2014; Top Chef, which has multiple seasons departing by mid-December; and Flipping Out, which will vanish from the site by Christmas Eve. The list also includes several Marvel movies, including the Transformers films and Back to the Future.

The reasons for these departures vary, but it's often due to expired licensing agreements. While some shows may return in the future, fans will have to seek out their favorite series on rival streaming platforms or purchase individual episodes to keep watching.

Here are all the TV shows leaving Netflix this month:

* December 1: Fierce (Season 1)
* December 2: Escalona (Season 1)
* December 3: How I Met Your Mother (Seasons 1-9) and The Coyotes (Limited Series)
* December 5: Top Chef (Multiple Seasons)
* December 9: Masameer Classics (Season 1)
* December 12: Deadliest Catch (Seasons)
* December 15: A Cuba Libre Story (Limited Series)
* December 18: Arrow (Seasons 1-8) and Supernatural (Seasons 1-15)
* December 20: Project Runway (Seasons)
* December 22: Flipping Out (Seasons)
* December 24: Son of a Critch (Season 1)
* December 31: Evil (Seasons 1-3)

So, if you're a fan of these popular shows and movies, be sure to binge-watch them before they disappear from Netflix's platform.

Man, it's like the world is changing so fast! I mean, what's next? 🤯 Netflix is doing this big clean-up and now I gotta find all my old fave shows on other platforms or buy 'em individually... it's just crazy! I remember when I was a kid, we didn't have all these streaming services. We had to wait for DVDs or TV guides to see what was coming next. 😳 Now, you can binge whatever you want whenever you want... but at the same time, it feels like they're getting rid of all our nostalgic stuff? Like, I know licensing agreements and all that, but still... it's just gonna be weird not seeing How I Met Your Mother or Supernatural on Netflix anymore 🎉.

ugh, i'm gonna miss so many of these shows... like, what's up with how i met your mother leaving? i've seen it like 5 times already lol 🤣 anyway, it's sad to see all the other popular ones go too - supernatural was such a great show and arrow had some awesome characters. and i'm gonna have to start searching for new shows to watch now that my faves are gone 😔

omg u guys i just found out what's leaving netflix in dec 🤯 so yeah its like how i met your mother is still available on hulu & disney+ but apparently netflix cant have it anymore lol supernatural fans dont worry though ur can catch up with all 15 seasons on peacock starting a week after the final ep airs arrow fans will also be sad cuz they'll only get to watch the first season 🙅‍♂️ meanwhile we gotta get our marve l and transformers fix thru amazon or google play or whatever u know? 🤷‍♀️

🤖📺 What's the point of even having a "binge" option if you're just gonna take it away in 1 sec? 😂😭 [gif: a cat looking sad](https://i.imgur.com/RDk7v4Q.jpg)

⏰ Why do they gotta make us do all the work? Can't Netflix just stick to what's popular for once? 🤣 [gif: a cartoon character getting frustrated](https://i.imgur.com/9P5aU8K.gif)

👀 It's like they're trying to get rid of our childhood memories... Arrow, Supernatural, How I Met Your Mother... who's gonna take these away from me?! 😱 [gif: a kid crying](https://i.imgur.com/MGv7jMq.jpg)

omg u guys i'm literally freaking out over this news 🤯 like what is netflix doing? can't they just renew the shows instead of kicking them off forever? i mean i know licensing agreements and all that but it's still so sad to see how I met your mother go 🙄 i've been watching that show since season 1 and now it's just... gone 🚫 meanwhile we're stuck with peacock and disney+ trying to find our favorite shows, ugh what a hassle 🤯 i swear if netflix doesn't come up with some better content strategy soon, i'll be switching to hulu or amazon prime ASAP 💸

I'm so sad to hear that Netflix is saying goodbye to all these awesome shows 🤕... I mean, what's the point of even having a streaming service if we can't keep our fave shows? Remember when Hulu was still a new kid on the block and we had to actually look through channels to find what we wanted to watch? Now it seems like everyone has all the best stuff and we're left with nothing 📺. I know they'll put 'em up somewhere else, but where's that at? And why can't they just keep everything for once? It's like they're playing a never-ending game of musical chairs... except instead of chairs, it's our favorite shows 😩.

omg this is so bummer!! i'm still trying to process that some of my fave shows like how i met your mother are leaving netflix 🤕😭 can't believe we won't be able to rewatch all those iconic moments again 😂💔 but on the bright side, we can find them on other platforms and also get to explore new ones 🎉📺 some of you might think it's just another change, but for me, it's like losing a part of my childhood 😭 rest in peace, how i met your mother 💀

omg i'm so bummed out about how i met your mother leaving netflix 🤕 i mean what even is christmas without ted lilybarbarnacle? 😂 i've already started rewatching all the seasons on hulu and it's like a whole new show lol. but seriously, can we get more news on maybe some of the other shows that are leaving? i'm low-key freaking out about supernatural too 🧛‍♂️ it was such an iconic show 😭

🤔 Omg what no more How I Met Your Mother on Netflix?? I've watched that show like 5 times already 📺😂 and now it's leaving?! 🎉 Arrow is another one I'm gonna miss so much 😭 those Marvel movies tho are still available on Peacock? 🚀

omg u guys i just had the craziest thought while browsing through netflix new releases - have u ever tried making pancakes from scratch? like i know it sounds random but i was reading up on how to make perfect fluffy pancakes and i realized u need to use room temp eggs which is soooo weird cuz who uses room temp eggs in real life lol anyway back to netflix... i'm def gonna binge watch some stranger things before they leave but i'm also kinda sad that flipping out is leaving - i loved that show
