Man robs a dozen people and businesses in Brooklyn spree, police say

Man Targets Brooklyn Businesses in String of Disturbing Robberies, Police Seek Public's Help

A suspect has been linked to a dozen robberies across Brooklyn over the past two months, with authorities urging the public to come forward with any information that might lead to his capture. The man, described as approximately 6 feet tall and slim, has primarily targeted female employees at stores in Boerum Hill, Park Slope, Flatbush, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, Fort Greene, and Downtown Brooklyn.

His modus operandi is to verbally threaten or intimidate his victims, sometimes brandishing a knife, before making off with cash from the register. In some instances, he has also targeted women at ATMs, including pushing one 29-year-old woman to the ground, causing her minor injuries.

The first reported incident occurred on October 13th at a Dunkin' location on Atlantic Avenue in Boerum Hill, where a 35-year-old employee was threatened and robbed. Over the following weeks, similar incidents were reported at nearby establishments, with the suspect striking again just last month on November 30th at a shop on Dekalb Avenue in Downtown Brooklyn.

In each case, police say the man used a combination of intimidation and stealth to carry out his crimes, leaving his victims shaken but thankfully unharmed. The NYPD has released surveillance images showing the suspect wearing a black jacket from The North Face, which may help identify him.

As with many recent robbery trends in Brooklyn, this incident marks a slight uptick compared to the same period last year, according to police data. However, citywide robberies have dropped significantly, a 10% decrease that authorities attribute to increased community outreach and policing efforts.

If you have any information about these incidents or suspect the identity of this individual, contact the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) in English or 1-888-57-PISTA (74782) for Spanish. The public is urged to come forward and help bring this suspect to justice.

๐Ÿšจ I'm not buying the idea that we're seeing a "slight uptick" in robberies in Brooklyn, tbh ๐Ÿค‘ This guy's been getting away with some serious cash and threatening innocent people, and the NYPD is just now making it sound like it's some kind of stats game? ๐Ÿค” Newsflash: crime isn't a numbers game, it's about holding accountable those who break the law. Instead of patting themselves on the back for a 10% decrease in citywide robberies, they should be focusing on catching this dude ASAP and making sure he doesn't strike again ๐Ÿ˜’

๐Ÿ˜• I'm so worried about those women, it's just not right that someone would do this to them like that. He sounds super scary and the fact that he's targeting female employees at stores is just not okay. ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšซ What if they weren't so lucky next time? ๐Ÿคž The NYPD should definitely be doing more to keep Brooklyn safe. I hope they catch him soon! ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ฏ

Dude, I think we need to get our facts straight here. This guy's been linked to 12 robberies? That's not a string of "disturbing" robberies, that's just a whole lotta robberies ๐Ÿ˜’. And what's with the "slim" description? He could be like 6'5" and still be considered slim ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

And let's talk about his modus operandi. Threatening or intimidating people and then making off with their cash? That's not just a minor infraction, that's felony stuff ๐Ÿš”. And pushing someone to the ground at an ATM? That's assault, bro ๐Ÿ‘Š.

I'm also skeptical of the NYPD's assertion that robberies have dropped 10% in the past year. What's the actual crime rate looking like compared to last year? We need some concrete numbers here, not just a feel-good statement ๐Ÿ“Š.

man, gotta say, these robberies are really scary, especially the part where he's pushing women at ATMs ๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’ธ. it's like, you're just trying to get your cash and grab a coffee, not expect some psycho to ruin your day. but honestly, i think its crazy that the community is coming together to help the police catch this guy ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ก. those surveillance pics are super helpful, and if anyone has any info, it's time to speak up ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ. let's hope we get him off the streets soon! ๐Ÿ˜Š

Yaaas, Brooklyn's got a new superhero - the robbery ninja! ๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ Just kidding, not funny at all. But seriously, dude needs to get his priorities straight and find a new hobby, like knitting or something. I mean, who tries to rob Dunkin' twice? ๐Ÿ˜‚ Anyway, I hope they catch this guy soon and make him walk it off at the gym for a while - 10% decrease in citywide robberies is still no good! ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿค• Just when you think it's safe to go out, these crazy robberies are happening in Brooklyn ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’ธ. Dude's been targeting women at stores & ATMs, threatening them with knives & whatnot ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. The fact that he's slim & 6 feet tall makes him kinda hard to spot ๐Ÿ‘€. Authorities need our help to catch this guy ASAP โฐ. If you saw anything or know who he is, hit up the Crime Stoppers hotline ๐Ÿ“ž. We can't let this guy get away with what he's done ๐Ÿ˜ก.

๐Ÿค” I mean, what's the point of even reporting these robberies? It's just gonna be some guy with a knife trying to scare people into giving him their cash. And now they're releasing surveillance footage thinking that's gonna magically solve the case. Like, who hasn't seen The North Face logo before? It's not like it's gonna lead to any actual leads. They should probably just give up and let the guy get away with it... I mean, what's the worst that could happen? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
