The Liz Truss Show review – hapless ravings from a cupboard

Liz Truss's YouTube Show: A Trainwreck in Waiting

The highly anticipated launch of The Liz Truss Show, a new YouTube series from Britain's shortest-serving prime minister, began with all the promise of a catastrophe. In an era where even Twitter proved unable to contain her hapless ravings, it was clear that Truss had an uphill battle ahead of her.

The series' premiere episode finally materialized at 7pm, after a delay that left fans wondering if the media had indeed been silenced – a notion that Truss seemed to wholeheartedly believe. As she settled into a cramped cupboard, adorned with books that might as well have been from a second-hand bookstore, her opening monologue set the tone for a series that would prove equal parts cringeworthy and confounding.

In a bizarre blend of paranoia and nostalgia, Truss painted a picture of Britain teetering on the brink of collapse. "You'd have to be watching the fake news BBC" to not know that the country was in desperate trouble, she declared, with small businesses dying out and big corporations abandoning ship. The notion that her government had failed miserably was hardly lost on viewers.

However, what became abundantly clear was that Truss's primary objective for this series was to court the American right – a bid to rebrand herself as a champion of conservative values, à la Donald Trump. Her monologue read like a laundry list of MAGA stereotypes about Britain, with Truss embracing a persona that seemed more akin to Lord Haw-Haw, the infamous Nazi propagandist, than the former British prime minister.

Truss's interviews only served to reinforce this perception, as she struggled to connect with her guests. Matt Goodwin, billed as "Britain's No 1 Substack", was subjected to an uncomfortable 40 seconds of unblinking stares from Truss, leaving even the most hardened cynic aghast. The other guests fared little better, with Truss awkwardly cutting off Alex Phillips mid-sentence on her views on immigration.

The show's production values were little better, with Truss seemingly lost in her own world – or rather, her own cupboard. As the series careened from one misstep to the next, it became clear that The Liz Truss Show was not just a trainwreck but a harbinger of something far more disturbing: a politician who has abandoned all semblance of sanity and is now pinning her hopes on a audience that barely knows her name.

Episode 2, scheduled for release next Friday at 6pm, can only be described as a gamble. Will Truss manage to conjure up something resembling coherence, or will she continue to flail about in her virtual cupboard like a ship without anchor? One thing is certain: the world will be watching with equal parts morbid curiosity and utter bewilderment.

The Liz Truss YouTube Show is literally a trainwreck in waiting 🚂😩. I mean, who thought it was a good idea to give her own show after she got sacked as PM? It's like she's trying to relive her glory days or something. Newsflash, Liz: the American right ain't buying what you're selling 🙅‍♂️. The whole "MAGA stereotypes" vibe is just cringeworthy. And don't even get me started on the production values - it's like she's stuck in some sort of bizarre time warp 🕰️.

I'm also super confused about why she's trying to court the right wing crowd again. Doesn't she know that her whole "mini-PM" thing was seen as a total disaster? 😳 It's like she's trying to reboot or something, but honestly, I think she just needs to take a long hard look at herself and figure out what went wrong. Maybe then she can try to create some real content 📺.

The fact that she's basically ignoring the UK and just talking about America is also super puzzling 🤔. Like, who does she even think she's speaking to? The British public? Please 😂. It's like she's trying to say "I'm not a part of this country anymore" without actually saying it out loud.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to seeing how the next episode goes - or at least trying to be 👀.

omg this show is so cringey!!! 🤣 i mean what was she thinking putting herself in a tiny cupboard on youtube lolol truss seems like she's trying to channel her inner lord haw-haw but fail miserably idk if anyone can make conservative values sound boring or if the americans will actually tune in for this trainwreck episode 2 better be good because this one was just...wow 😂

omg i cant wait for ep 2!!! 🤣 liz truss's energy is soooo entertaining i mean i get it she's trying to appeal to a certain crowd but like come on, it's just not working lol and that cupboard tho 🛋️📚 i need more of her virtual life updates! 😂

🤔 this show is gonna be a wild ride, but honestly i dont think truss needs it... she's got a reputation already 😅 its just gonna be people watching her freak out in her own little cupboard 📺 the production values are pretty lowkey too, which adds to the trainwreck vibe 🚂

I'm so down for this trainwreck 🚂👀. Liz Truss's YouTube show is exactly what we need – a healthy dose of absurdity and cringe-worthy moments. I mean, who needs coherent content when you can have a PM rambling on about fake news and nostalgic Britain? 🤣 The fact that she's trying to court the American right and rebrand herself as a conservative icon is just too rich 😂.

And honestly, I think this show could be good for British politics. It's like a trainwreck that you can't look away from – it's morbidly fascinating in a weird way 🤪. Who knows, maybe Truss will surprise us all and deliver some kind of epiphany or two (but let's not hold our breath). The fact that she's already got fans watching with "utter bewilderment" just says there's something deliciously entertaining about this whole debacle 😂.

Let's be real, this show is a work of art – a masterclass in chaos and confusion 🎨. I'll be tuning in for episode 2 just to see what more brandishing, awkward moments we can expect from our favorite PM 👀. Bring it on!

omg lol truss's youtube show is literally the most cringeworthy thing i've seen all year 🤣👀 she's trying so hard to be like trump but it's just not working out 😂 i mean what's with the "fake news bbc" comment? did she think we wouldn't know that was a red herring? and can someone please tell her to take off those reading glasses? they're giving me a whole new level of eye strain 🤯 as for the production values, yeah it's clear they didn't exactly splurge on this thing 🤑 it's like she's just sitting there in that tiny cupboard talking at an audience of 1 👋 episode 2 better come correct or else

lol what's up with this whole Liz Truss YouTube show thing 🤣 i mean, who thought it was a good idea to give a politician her own platform on youtube? she sounds like a complete mess in that first episode 😂 and the production values are straight out of a bad parody film 🎬

but you know what's even more cringeworthy? her attempt to court the american right wing crowd 🤪 it's like she thinks they'll just be all, "oh yeah, we love britain too, prime minister" 🙄 and that monologue of hers was straight up laughable 😂 i mean, who talks about fake news like that in 2025?

anyway, i'm genuinely curious to see how this thing plays out 🤔 will she manage to stumble her way through the next few episodes without completely losing it? 💥 or is she just gonna keep on being a trainwreck 🚂😂

omg u guys this liz truss youtube show is literally the most cringeworthy thing ive ever seen she's so out of touch lol like whats next her own talk show on bbc america 🤣👀 i mean idk what kinda ratings boost she was hoping for but a trainwreck that bad can only be beneficial right?

anyway her production values are straight trash the set looks like somethin from 2005 and her guests are just standins waiting to get roasted 🤦‍♂️ matt goodwin looked so uncomfortable on there idk how he's gonna make a career out of watchin truss butcher him

and what's with all this maga nonsense? like she thinks americans are gonna take her seriously with that kind of speech 🙄 it's just gonna make ppl think she's some kinda parody of trump or somethin

anyway dont bother watchin episode 2 either lol i heard its more of the same trainwreck thats just truss tryna cling to relevance

I'm low-key entertained by Liz Truss's trainwreck of a YouTube show 🤣. The woman is either delusional or has an ego that's bigger than her actual influence 😂. I mean, who tries to sell the idea that Britain's in crisis because... well, they're not getting their BBC news from there? 🙄 And that production quality? Like, someone told her to just stand in a cupboard with some books and be done with it 💡. But what really has me going is how she thinks courting Trump voters will revive her career 🤦‍♂️. Newsflash, Liz: being a parody of yourself isn't gonna cut it on the internet 😅.

omg this Liz Truss show is literally so cringeworthy 🤦‍♀️ i mean whats next she'll start making vlogs in her own cupboard 🏠📹 and honestly the production values are like something out of a bad parody sketch 🎬 like what even was that 40 second stare fest with Matt Goodwin? 😱 anyway im just waiting for episode 2 to see if truss can pull off some kind of weird form of cognitive dissonance where she's like "i know i'm crazy but listen to me" 🤯

🤣 Oh girl, this trainwreck of a YouTube show is giving me LIFE!!! 😂 I mean, who tries to relive their glory days in the PM office by hosting a YouTube series that's basically just a bunch of old Liz Truss rants in a tiny cupboard? 📚 It's like she's trying to make us all cringe even more than we already are with her... erm... " leadership" style 😒. But hey, at least it's entertainment value at its finest! 😂 Can't wait to see what episode 2 has in store for us – a possible nervous breakdown? 🤯

omg what was that premiere ep 😂 she's totally lost it 🤯 i mean truss has always been a bit of a wild card but this is just ridiculous 🙄 her whole "fake news BBC" thing tho lol like who else says that 🙄 and matt goodwin getting cut off mid sentence 😳 what even is this show anymore? 🤷‍♀️ 10 minutes in and i'm already dreading the next ep 🕰️ can't wait to see if she pulls it together or just gets more and more cringeworthy 💀

LOL what's going on with Liz Truss tho? 🤣 she thinks courting the American right is gonna save her career but honestly it's just embarrassing to watch her get roasted on YouTube 😂 like a trainwreck that we can't look away from. And omg 40 seconds of staring down Matt Goodwin was lowkey terrifying... what's wrong with this lady? 🤯 and those production values are straight out of a bad indie film 🎥 idk what's more cringeworthy, her ideology or her awkward interviews 😂

🤣 her idea of "cottage" talk 🏠 is more like a cult indoctrination session 🔥 gotta wonder what kinda audience she's trying to curry favor with 🤔 those substack folks seem like an easy target 🤑
