Arsenal's Premier League dominance is not under threat. At least not yet | Jonathan Wilson

Arsenal's Grip on Premier League Supremacy Tightens

The narrative that Arsenal are starting to "run away with" the Premier League title has been put firmly on hold. A weekend of thrilling victories, including a convincing 4-1 win over Tottenham at Emirates Stadium, has left Manchester City and Liverpool struggling to keep pace.

While some may have prematurely awarded the title to the Gunners, it's clear that Arsenal are in the driver's seat. With seven points separating them from their closest rivals, they've got a commanding lead to work with, particularly when considering the inconsistency shown by City throughout this season.

Arsenal's advantage lies not only in their superior squad depth but also in their ability to perform under pressure. The recent draw at Sunderland was a wake-up call, but it didn't dent their confidence – instead, they bounced back from that setback and showed no signs of jitters against Spurs.

The win over Tottenham marked a significant statement of intent from Arteta's side. Arsenal's 10-game winning streak before the Sunderland draw was a remarkable achievement, and they've only lost one match since then. Meanwhile, City have dropped as many points this season already – four more than all of last term – suggesting their title hopes may be waning.

While it's impossible to predict the remainder of the campaign with certainty, there are valid reasons why Arsenal appear almost unbeatable right now. Their ability to score from open play, coupled with a stingy defence that hasn't conceded many goals, makes them a formidable force in the league.

Of course, nothing is ever certain in football. Injuries can happen, teams may rally for a run-in, or unforeseen events might derail their title bid. However, based on current form, Arsenal look far from stoppable – and the evidence suggests that this might just be the season they finally break their 19-year wait for Premier League glory.

🏆💪😎 "You can't handle the truth! 😂 Arsenal is taking over the league and you can't stop it!" 🚫💣[Image of a meme with a footballer in a superhero cape, striking a pose]

🤦‍♂️ Meanwhile, City's title hopes are... well, let's just say they're not exactly "mane"-ly defending their spot 💁‍♂️😴 [GIF of a cat sleeping on the job]

💔 Liverpool's struggles are like a bad case of "Monday blues"... 😓 and we all know how that ends 🤪 [Image of a sad face with a footballer in the background, walking away from the pitch]

🏆 19 years of waiting for Premier League glory... can you smell what Arsenal is cooking? 🔥👀[GIF of a chef wearing a chef's hat, stirring a pot]

I'm like, totally convinced that Arsenal are going to blow it 🤦‍♂️... but at the same time, I have no reason to doubt them 💯. I mean, seven points ahead of City and all that jazz, right? But what about those other teams that can still mount a comeback? Liverpool's been doing pretty well, you know? And City, as we've seen, are capable of dropping points... so maybe this title thing won't be as cut-and-dried as everyone thinks 🤔. Plus, Arteta's team is just too inconsistent, if you ask me 😕... they can either win or lose by a load, but never really seem to find that sweet spot in between ⚖️. Still, I wouldn't bet against them, not yet anyway... maybe? 🤷‍♂️

I was watching an old vid of when I was a kid & my little bro used to fall off his bike all the time 🤣, he was always crying but his dad would just say "it's okay, little one, you'll ride again soon" 🚴‍♀️. Reminds me, have u ever noticed how some plants can come back from being cut down? Like those Japanese maple trees that just regrow from like a tiny piece of root or something? Nature is so cool 😎.

🤔 "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams." 💫 I think Arsenal's title bid is looking stronger than ever, but you can't rule out the other teams catching up yet 😅. Still, it's hard to see anyone stopping them with how well they're playing right now 💪

Arsenal's squad depth is insane 🔥💪 they've got so many talented players who can step up when needed 💥 meanwhile city is struggling to cope with Pep's tactics getting exposed 🤔 interesting how long it'll take liverpool to get back on track 😒
