I'm totally down with António Costa's stance on this... wait, hold up! I mean, isn't he being a bit too confrontational? Can't we just, like, try to have a chill conversation with the US instead of making a big deal out of it? But at the same time, don't we need to set some boundaries with the US about not messing with our internal affairs? I mean, if they're gonna support far-right parties, that's like, super not what Europe needs... or is it? Maybe we should just let the Europeans sort their own stuff out and avoid making a scene?
im not surprised about this move from the US ... they always have been a bit too eager to get involved in other countries' business. and now it seems like they're trying to stir up some trouble in europe i think costa is right on the money, though - we should be making our own decisions about who's in charge around here, not relying on someone else's opinion also, what's with this national security strategy of theirs? it sounds like they're more worried about their own interests than the well-being of others
omg what's going on? so the EU is all like "hey don't mess with us" and now the Trump administration is just chillin with those far-right dudes it makes sense tho that europeans would be all worried about it, i mean who wants external interference in their governance decisions? but at the same time, isn't the US like trying to help or something? or are they just trying to stir up drama? and btw what's with the whole "stability over unity" vibe? can't we have both?
Politics can be so complicated! "The art of politics is the art of making men see what they want to do." It's like we say in the States... "The truth is rarely pure and never simple". But hey, at least leaders like António Costa are speaking up about these issues. We gotta keep an eye on how this whole thing plays out!
I mean, who wouldn't want a dose of that " stability and unity" magic from the US? It sounds like they're trying to say: "Hey, we know you're all complicated and messy, but trust us, we've got this." Meanwhile, Europe is just over here, being all strong and unified without needing some external motivation. That's kinda refreshing, tbh
