Concert Season Heats Up at Shakopee Amphitheater: Goo Goo Dolls, Toto, and Avenged Sevenfold Set to Perform

The band emerged in New York in 1986, influenced by Minneapolis' iconic Replacements, and has since become a staple at outdoor summer concerts, including shows at the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand and Basilica Block Party.
Meanwhile, Toto is set to perform with a lineup of studio musicians that dates back to their formation in 1977. The band's biggest hits include "Hold the Line," "Rosanna," and "Africa," which recently gained renewed popularity thanks to a viral TikTok challenge that convinced Weezer to cover it.
Christopher Cross, a longtime friend and collaborator with Toto members, will take the stage alongside his musical partners. With five Grammys under his belt, including record, album, and song of the year for his 1980 debut album, Cross is known for hits like "Sailing," "Ride Like the Wind," and "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)."
In contrast, California metal band Avenged Sevenfold will bring their heavy sound to the amphitheater. With a string of chart-toppers including "Unholy Confessions," "Bat Country," and "Hail to the King," the band has remained rock radio favorites over the years.
Finally, Good Charlotte will round out the lineup with their pop-punk sound. Formed by twin brothers Joel and Benji Madden, the band rose to fame in 2002 with hits like "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and "The Anthem."

i'm so stoked for the goo go dolls, they always bring that nostalgic vibe and neon trees is like the ultimate match made in heaven. toto's lineup is insane btw - those guys have been killing it since forever and avenged sevenfold's heavy sound is just what we need to get our adrenaline pumping
