Alameda County real estate: House on Butters Drive sells for $1,600,000

A Luxurious Oakland Mansion Sells for $1.6 Million Per Square Foot

In a recent transaction, a spacious house on Butters Drive in the 3600 block of Oakland has been sold to a new owner for a staggering $1,600,000. The home, built in 1939, boasts an impressive 2,939 square feet and features four bedrooms and three bathrooms, providing ample space for its occupants.

When considering the sale price, it's worth noting that this represents a remarkable $544 per square foot valuation. To put this into perspective, nearby houses have also recently been sold at significant prices: in August 2022, a 1,965-square-foot home on Robinson Drive was sold for $1,440,000, equating to a price of $733 per square foot. A three-bedroom, four-bathroom residence on Rubin Drive sold for $1,840,000 in April 2023, translating to a $587 per square foot valuation.

In contrast, a more recent transaction saw a 2,256-square-foot home on Brunell Drive sell for $2,025,000 in July 2022, resulting in a price of $898 per square foot. These sales demonstrate that the housing market in Oakland remains highly competitive and lucrative for savvy buyers looking to invest in prime properties.

omg $1.6 million per sqft is insane 🤯 I mean i get that its a luxurious mansion but 544 bucks per sqft is just too much 💸 for anyone in their right mind 😂 my friend bought a house last year and it was like half that price lol what are people thinking? 🤑

I'm not surprised to see luxury mansions selling for such crazy prices in Oakland 🤯. I mean, it's like they're trying to win some kind of bet on who can spend the most money on a house. $1.6 million per square foot is just nuts! Meanwhile, I'm over here wondering how people are going to afford their mortgages with those prices. And what about affordability for regular folks? It's hard enough finding a place to live without having to worry about breaking the bank 💸.

And have you seen the size of these houses? 2,939 square feet is just ridiculous! I mean, I'd love to have some extra space, but at that price point, it feels like you're paying for the land more than anything else 🏠. Still, if you've got the cash, go ahead and splurge – just don't expect me to be joining you on a house hunt anytime soon 😂.

omg can u believe that price per sqft?? 💸 $544 is straight fire for a house built in 1939 lol it's like the new owner is trying to build an escape pod or something 🚀 i'm kinda jelly, but also, i mean, who needs 2k sqft of living space when you can have 5k? 🤷‍♀️ also, why are all these houses on different streets from each other?? like what's the deal with that?? is it just random or is there something we're not being told about Oakland real estate market? 🤔

I mean come on... $1.6 million per square foot is just crazy talk! 🤯 I've seen some expensive houses in my time but this one takes the cake. Four bedrooms and three bathrooms for that price is just ridiculous. What's next, a private movie theater and a swimming pool? 🏊‍♂️ And those nearby sales don't really help to justify this price. I guess if you're a billionaire looking to spend your cash on some real estate, then go for it... but for regular people like me, that's just out of reach. 😅

omg did u no that butters drive house sold 4 1600k per sqft its like insane!!! i mean its def not surprising tho considering the prices rcomin out in oakland rn i remember when i was scrollin thru craigslist last year & saw a post for this super old mansion on brunell drive & it had like a million ppl droppin offers but it ended up goin 4 like 900k per sqft which wuz still kinda crazy lol how the prices rcomin out now tho its def showin that people r willin 2 pay top dollar 4 da good deals

🏠💸 1.6 million is CRAZY!!! 🤯 How do people afford these mansions? 🤑 Rich people problems, am I right? 😂 Meanwhile, I'm over here trying to pay my rent on time... 👀 💸

🙄 1.6 million per sqft? Sounds like someone really wanted a piece of the Oakland dream 🌳. But let's be real, for those who can afford it, I guess $544 per sqft is just another price tag to add to their collection 💸. At least they're getting that sweet, sweet space 🏠. Anyone else thinking about selling their soul for a 2,939 sqft home? 😂

🤯 I mean, can you believe it? A house in Oakland is selling for $1.6 million per square foot?! That's just crazy talk! In my day, we didn't pay that kind of money for a house, no way. I think back to when I bought my first home, and it was still around $80,000, can you believe it? Adjusted for inflation, maybe, but still... 🤑

And these prices keep going up, up, up! It's like the housing market is on steroids or something. I get why people want to invest in prime properties, but it just seems so... exclusive. I mean, who can afford that kind of money? Only a select few, I reckon. 😬

Still, I guess that's progress for you. The rich keep getting richer, and the rest of us are just trying to keep up. 🤷‍♂️ At least it means there are some people out there who are willing to shell out big bucks for a beautiful home. Good luck to them! 💸
