Curt Menefee is leaving Fox 5’s ‘Good Day New York’ after nearly 2 years

Fox 5's "Good Day New York" is losing one of its anchors, Curt Menefee. Menefee announced his departure from the popular morning news program during a live broadcast on Tuesday morning. The news comes just over two years after Menefee joined the show as a co-anchor alongside longtime anchor Rosanna Scotto.

Menefee cited his bi-coastal commute between his home in California and the New York City studio as the reason for his departure. He stated that he will continue to work on other projects, including hosting Fox NFL Sunday and covering special sporting events like the Belmont Stakes and US Open Golf.

Despite his decision to leave, Menefee expressed his gratitude to Scotto and the entire staff of "Good Day New York." He joked about having the keys to his California home hidden away, making it impossible for him to return. Menefee also revealed that he will miss working with Scotto, whom he described as a colleague and friend.

Scotto shared her own sentiments on Menefee's departure, stating that she respected him and would miss him dearly. The two had developed a "brother-sister relationship" during their time on the show.

Menefee will officially leave his position on "Good Day New York" at the end of December 19.

I'm soooo bummed out for Curt Menefee , I mean, who wouldn't wanna stay in one place and have a normal life? But at the same time, I kinda feel like he's making an awesome move by doing something new, you know? Hosting Fox NFL Sunday sounds like a dream come true!
