‘Owning Manhattan’ Executive Producers on Season 2 and Ryan Serhant’s Vulnerable Side: ‘He Isn’t Just a Selling Machine’

Ryan Serhant's Vulnerable Side Exposed in 'Owning Manhattan' Season 2

The Netflix reality series "Owning Manhattan" is back with its second season, featuring the charismatic and successful real estate mogul Ryan Serhant. This time around, however, fans will notice a different side of Serhant - one that's more emotionally vulnerable and raw.

Executive producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato of World of Wonder reveal in an exclusive interview with Variety that Season 2 showcases a more personal side to Serhant as he navigates his work-life balance. The show's new season also introduces new characters, including realtors who bring their own unique drama to the table.

According to Bailey and Barbato, Serhant's business is booming at an exponential rate, but with great success comes immense pressure. "Ryan often presents himself as a selling machine," says Bailey, "but there's another side to him that he keeps closely guarded." He continues, "He won't like me for saying this, but he's a big old softie."

Barbato adds, "He's the original media beast. This is the first time he's truly revealed the depth of his vulnerability, and that's what makes this season so compelling." The producers attribute Serhant's success to his emotional intelligence and ability to connect with people on a deeper level.

As for the show itself, Bailey describes it as going beyond being a real estate soap opera. "There's something about 'Owning Manhattan' that goes beyond being a reality TV show... It's not just about real estate; it's about the art of the sell." The series explores themes of transformation, self-discovery, and survival in an ever-changing world.

The season also introduces new characters, including Amelia, Ryan's wife, who takes on a more prominent role this time around. Bailey praises her performance, saying it was satisfying to watch her bring depth to the show.

Interestingly, Bailey draws parallels between real estate agents and drag queens, noting that both professions require creativity, charisma, and the ability to "lip sync for their lives." He concludes, "To live is to perform, and to perform is to live."

With its second season, "Owning Manhattan" continues to captivate audiences with its unique blend of real estate, drama, and self-discovery. Fans can expect more of Serhant's vulnerable side, as well as new challenges and triumphs in the world of high-stakes real estate.

I'm so down for season 2 🤩! I love how Ryan Serhant is finally showing his human side - we all need to see that vulnerability, you know? And Amelia's character growth is exciting to watch! 😊 As someone who's been in the game for a while (not real estate, but just life), I can relate to the pressure and expectations. It's great to see Ryan showcasing his emotional intelligence and connection with people. Plus, who doesn't love a good drama-filled reality TV show? 😉

I'm so here for Ryan Serhant's vulnerability on 'Owning Manhattan' Season 2 🤗👏. It's refreshing to see him show a more human side, you know? As someone who's always trying to stay productive, I appreciate how the show is exploring themes of transformation and self-discovery 📈💡. And let's be real, Amelia's character development is everything 👀. The fact that Bailey draws parallels between real estate agents and drag queens is pure genius 💖🔥 - it just goes to show how both professions require creativity and charisma. Overall, I'm excited for the new season and more of Ryan's raw, emotional side 💕.

I was just thinking about my favorite food order from that one cafe near me 🍴, you know how they have these perfect croutons with their truffle mac? anyway, I think what really sets Ryan Serhant apart is his ability to balance being a high-powered broker with being relatable. it's not often you see someone in his position be so open about their emotional struggles. reminds me of that one podcast I listened to where the host talked about how they've struggled with anxiety and imposter syndrome in their career 🤯, anyway, back to Ryan - have you guys seen any other shows like "Owning Manhattan" that explore the personal side of high-stakes careers?

🤔 I just watched the trailer for Season 2 of "Owning Manhattan" and I gotta say, Ryan Serhant is totally different from what I expected 🤷‍♂️. I mean, I know he's charming and all, but this new side of him is like... wow 😮. It's really refreshing to see someone so open about their vulnerabilities, especially in a reality TV show.

I'm excited to see how Amelia plays out this season - the more drama, the better 🤣. And omg, the part where Bailey compares real estate agents to drag queens? 💅🏻💁‍♀️ Genius! I feel like that's so true. Both professions are all about performance and presentation.

One thing that does have me curious is how Serhant balances his work and personal life 🤔. It sounds like he's got some serious pressure on him, but it's also kind of inspiring to see someone who's willing to be so open about their struggles 💪.

Anyway, I'm definitely gonna check out the new season ASAP 👀!

awww that's so sweet 🤗 ryan serhant is not just about being all confident and charming on tv, he has a soft spot too 💕 it's really cool to see him be more vulnerable and honest with himself and others 👀 i love how the show is going beyond just real estate and exploring themes of transformation and self-discovery 🌟 it's like, we're not just watching a reality show, we're getting a glimpse into someone's life and their journey 💖

🤔 I don't get why we need so many shows about people selling houses. It feels like a never-ending cycle of rich people being rich. 🏠😒 But I guess if it's entertaining for Ryan Serhant and his friends, that's all that matters. 💁‍♀️ The fact that he's showing more vulnerability this season is kinda refreshing, but let's be real, it's still about the money 💸. Can we talk about something else? 🤷‍♂️

omg i'm loving ryan serhant's new vulnerable side in season 2 of "owning manhattan" 🤩 he's still got that charm but now we're getting to see his softer side 💕 it's like watching a different person on camera, you know? and i gotta say, amelia is bringing the fire too 🌪️ as ryan's wife, she's got some serious sass and depth to her character. plus, can we talk about how interesting it is that fenton bailey is drawing parallels between real estate agents and drag queens? 🤔 that's some genius-level thinking right there! 💡

I think it's really cool that Ryan Serhant is showing a more vulnerable side on his show 🤗. I mean, we already knew he was charming and good with people, but now we're getting to see him deal with all the stress and pressure that comes with being super successful 💼. It's like, yeah, you can be all confident and outgoing on TV, but when the cameras aren't rolling, it's a whole different story 📺. And I love how Fenton Bailey is highlighting Serhant's emotional intelligence - that's really important for anyone who wants to make it in business or any field where you're going to have to connect with people 💡.

omg u guys i just watched episode 1 of season 2 of owning manhattan and ryan serhant is literally so raw and emotional like he's talking about his personal struggles with anxiety and depression 🤯👀 i was low-key crying in the living room lol. and can we talk about how amazing amelia is? she brings such depth to the show and i love how she's not afraid to speak her mind 💁‍♀️. i feel like ryan's vulnerability makes the show so much more real and relatable, you know? like we're not just watching a reality tv show, we're seeing someone's life unfold before our eyes 📺. and honestly, it's kinda refreshing to see someone as successful and charismatic as ryan be vulnerable about his feelings 🤗. anyway, i'm obsessed with season 2 already and i need more of serhant's emotional goodness 💖

so i'm loving how ryan serhant is bringing his A-game to season 2 of 'owning manhattan' 🤩 - it's amazing to see him being so raw and honest about his emotions, it's like he's giving us all a big ol' hug. and let's be real, who doesn't love a good underdog story? 💪 i'm intrigued by the new characters too, especially amelia's character - she sounds like she brings some serious depth to the show. 👍

man this show is so good 🤩 like I know it's about real estate but its not just that there's all these drama's going on with Ryan and his wife Amelia 😍 its like a soap opera or something i'm intrigued by how he balances work life and stuff he seems to be really driven to succeed but at the same time very human and relatable 🤝

The thing is, I'm loving this new direction "Owning Manhattan" has taken - it's like we get to see Ryan Serhant's human side, you know? He's not just some super successful real estate mogul, but also a person with feelings and stuff. It's kinda inspiring to see how he navigates his work-life balance and all that. And introducing new characters like Amelia is a great move - she seems really interesting! 🤩 The way Fenton Bailey talks about the show being more than just a reality TV thing, I'm totally down for it too. It's like they're exploring deeper themes and whatnot. Can't wait to see what Season 2 has in store! 👀

🤩 OMG I'm SO here for Season 2 of "Owning Manhattan"!! Ryan Serhant is literally the ultimate real estate machine 🚀, but this season we're getting a glimpse into his softer side 😭 and it's giving me LIFE! 💖 The way the producers are highlighting his emotional intelligence and ability to connect with people on a deeper level is SO inspiring 🙌. And can we talk about Amelia's role in Season 2? 💁‍♀️ I need more of her! 💖 The parallels between real estate agents and drag queens? 🔥 Genius! "Lip syncing for their lives" is literally the most relatable phrase ever 😂🎤

🤔 just watched that exclusive interview with Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato about Ryan Serhant's season 2 📺... did you know that Ryan Serhant's company is growing at a rate of 20% YoY? 🚀 it's crazy! also, did you know that the average episode length of "Owning Manhattan" is around 45 minutes, with an audience engagement rate of 75% on social media? 📊👍 meanwhile, here's some stats: 70% of viewers say they're more invested in the characters' personal lives now compared to season 1, and the show has gained a whopping 3000 new subscribers since its release 🚀💥

omg this season 2 is gonna be so cringey 🤣 ryan serhant being a big softie is kinda adorable but also super uncool 🙄 the show needs to work on its editing, his vulnerable moments are always interrupted by some annoying sound effects or music 😒 and what's with all these new characters? can't they just keep it with the original crew 👀

Ryan Serhant is living his best life 🤩 but it's cool that we're getting a glimpse into his softer side 💔. Can't wait to see more of Amelia slaying her role 👑. And omg, "lip sync for their lives" is the most relatable thing I've ever heard 🎤💅.

can you believe ryan serhant is actually a softie 🤗? i mean don't get me wrong he's still super successful and all but it's refreshing to see him show his vulnerable side on tv. i think that's what makes this season so compelling, it's not just about real estate, it's about how he balances work and personal life. also i'm loving the new characters they're adding to the show, especially ryan's wife Amelia 🤝 she seems like a great addition!

omg i love ryan serhant he's like a total package deal - charming, successful, and now emotionally vulnerable 🤩 this season is gonna be so good! i'm intrigued by the new characters too, esp Amelia, his wife... she sounds fierce 💁‍♀️ and creative. but what i think is really interesting is how the show goes beyond just real estate, it's about transformation and self-discovery - we've all been there, right? trying to find our own way in life and navigating all the ups and downs 🌈
