... remember that time when school shootings were super rare and everyone was like "this can't happen to our kids"? now it's like every other week there's some news about another shooting somewhere

. we're always talking about gun control, but what's really being done? it feels like we're just patching up holes without addressing the root issue.
I think what Governor Beshear said about this being an isolated event is true, but like, when do we get to stop talking about it? Can't we just focus on finding ways to prevent these things from happening in the first place? 
Maybe there's something we can learn from each other to keep our schools and communities safe

. I remember when my little cousins went to high school back in the day, it was all about hanging out with friends, playing sports, and studying for exams. Now it's like there's always some drama or violence brewing somewhere
