NFL to return to Munich with Allianz Arena hosting games in 2026 and 2028

The National Football League (NFL) has announced it will be returning to Munich, Germany for two more seasons. The iconic Allianz Arena stadium will once again host regular-season games in 2026 and 2028.

This decision comes after the league successfully staged five international games at the same venue over the past four seasons. In 2022 and 2024, the arena hosted NFL matches, and last month Berlin played its first game, with the NFL set to return there in 2027 and 2029.

The partnership is seen as a significant boost for the league's growing fanbase in Germany, where over 20 million fans support American football. The country has been an important part of the NFL International Series, which aims to promote the sport globally.

For Munich, hosting games at Allianz Arena will continue to be an attractive opportunity, having already established itself as a major sports venue. In addition to its football reputation, the stadium is also known for hosting concerts and other international events.

NFL fixtures in 2026 are now set to include one game each in Melbourne, Australia; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Munich; London, England; and possibly Paris, France, at the Stade de France.

🏈💥 Germany is gonna be a hub for NFL games next year 🌎🇩🇪 I'm stoked to see more action @ Allianz Arena in 2026 & 2028 🎉 The country's love for American football is real, with over 20 million fans cheering on their teams 💯👏 It's awesome that the league is investing in Germany and other countries to grow its fanbase 🌟 The games are gonna be lit, especially with the addition of new venues like Melbourne & Rio 🎊 Can't wait for more exciting matches in 2026! 🤩

I'm so down for more NFL games in Germany 🤩! I mean, who doesn't love watching American football with a pint of beer and some bratwurst, right? 😂 It's crazy to think that 20 million Germans are already into this stuff - back in my day, we didn't even have Sunday Night Football 🕰️... but hey, progress is nice, I guess. And can you imagine playing games at the Allianz Arena? That place always gets so hyped, just like it did for those 2011-2014 World Cup matches 🏆💥. The NFL is definitely bringing the heat to Europe now - and I'm here for it 😎. Maybe one day they'll even have a German team in the league... a guy can dream, right? 😄

Munich is gonna be rockin' like a stadium concert 🤘, NFL games and all! Who knew football was more popular than beer in Germany? 20 million fans can't be wrong... right? 😂 Anyway, I'm stoked they're keeping the Allianz Arena vibes going. If they ever need an extra crowd, I heard Berlin's got a ton of people who'd love to see some touchdowns 💪. On a side note, have you seen the new NFL jerseys? They look like they were designed by a kindergartener on a sugar high 🤣!

So great that they're going back to Munich... I mean, who doesn't love the same old thing twice? 🤦‍♂️ 20 million fans in Germany are probably just thrilled to have more reasons to pay exorbitant prices for tickets and beer. The NFL's doing okay for itself, hosting games at the same stadium that's already hosted five times - talk about variety, right? 😴 And let's not forget the added bonus of having to travel all the way to Australia and Brazil... I'm sure it'll be a blast for everyone involved 🎉.

man, can you believe nfl is coming back to munich for another two years? i'm hyped!! allianz arena always hosts some crazy events so it's no surprise they're gonna be hosting games again. germany loves american football and it's awesome that the nfl is giving them more opportunities to watch live games 🤩. i hope they do a game in berlin too, my friend who lives there said the city would love to have an nfl event 🔥

Ugh, this just shows how commercialized everything is nowadays 🤑. I mean, who cares about the games themselves? The league's all about raking in that cash, right? And it's not like they're investing in the teams or the fans... it's just a bunch of wealthy Americans playing for their buddies' sake 💸. Munich gets to host some games and get all fancy with Allianz Arena, but what about the actual football fans who don't have a VIP pass 🤷‍♂️? The league's basically selling out its soul for a quick buck... *sigh*
