Just one hour prior, another assault occurred at the 1400 block of South Canal Street, where a 40-year-old male was attacked while walking alone on foot. He suffered head injuries and cuts during the altercation. Witnesses report that his assailant fled the scene on a bicycle, leaving no one in custody.
