And don't even get me started on the textures - soft, floury pastry is just not doing it for me . Give me a warm, flaky crust and a rich, fruity filling any day!

I'm so disappointed in these luxury mince pies . I mean, £3.25 for six is just crazy! I know some people love that crunchy demerara sugar on Co-op's pastry, but for me, it's just a gimmick. And don't even get me started on the overuse of citric acid - it's like they're trying to make you pucker up every time you take a bite .

And Asda's Exceptional by 6 Luxury Mince Pies aren't much better. They're all about that chunky filling, but at what cost? The artificial taste is so overwhelming it's like eating a candy cane . I mean, can't we just have a good ol' fashioned homemade mince pie without all the fuss and bells?

Aldi's Specially Selected mince pies might not be the cheapest option, but honestly, who needs to save money when your taste buds are suffering? At least they're trying to use real ingredients, even if it doesn't always translate to a perfect product .

I guess what I'm saying is, let's just take a step back and reassess our priorities. Do we really need all those fancy mince pies with their artificial flavors and over-the-top toppings? Or can't we just stick with the humble, homemade classics that never go out of style ?

omg, i'm not sure what all these fancy words mean , but basically, someone tried making mince pies and shared how bad or good they are . asda's ones seem pretty alright, affordable too , but some people think they're a bit artificial tasting . and then there's co-op, which is like, super expensive £3.25 for 6! but apparently, it's worth it for the crunchy demerara sugar topping . i don't know about these mince pies though , maybe someone can get me a few to try?

I gotta say, I'm kinda torn about these mince pies... I mean, Aldi's Specially Selected ones get a bad rap online, but at £1.49 for 6, that's still super cheap! But, yeah, they do sound like they're all artificial tasting, which is not my fave. omg i tried asda exceptional by 6 luxury mince pies last christmas and honestly dont think ill be having them again their filling was so artificial tasting like they put actual citric acid in it lol, but hey at least its cheap! co-ops on the other hand r worth the extra cash imo their pastry is so flaky and buttery i mean who needs a crunchy demerara sugar top when u can have that

OMG, £3.25 for 6 mince pies is like a lot of money lol! according to stats, in 2022 UK households spent an average of £22.55 on baked goods, which is up by 12% from 2021 . and did you know that asda's Exceptional by 6 Luxury Mince Pies are the best selling mince pies in the UK this year? they're beating out all other brands with an average rating of 4.2/5! but on the flip side, have you seen the calorie count on some of these pies? it's like, woah! i did a search and found that the top 3 most unhealthy mince pie brands are co-op (25g of fat per serving), asda (23g of fat per serving), and aldi (22g of fat per serving)
