Consumers of Baby Play Yards Sold on Amazon Are Being Warned: Recalls Issued Due to Serious Safety Concerns
A product recall has been issued by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) related to baby play yards sold on Amazon, manufactured by Chinese company Guangzhou Tinger Trading Co. Ltd., also known as Anna Queen. The agency warns of a life-threatening risk associated with these play yards due to suffocation and entrapment hazards.
The main hazard identified in the recalled product is that infants can become trapped under the mattress or between the side of the play yard and the mattress, leading to serious injury or even death.
According to the CPSC, the play yards are characterized by black fabric sides and mesh panels bordered in gray, with a white fabric top featuring bear faces, paws, and print. These play yards have also been shipped with a mattress bearing the same bear design.
In response to this recall notice, the agency advises consumers who own one of these recalled products to immediately discontinue its use. They must then email a photo of the destroyed product to [email protected] to receive a full refund and ensure proper disposal of the hazardous item.
At present, no injuries have been reported in connection with this particular model, but it's essential for consumers to act on the CPSC's advice as soon as possible. These play yards were sold between March 2025 at a price range of $100-$110.
Consumers who are concerned about their safety should keep an eye out for any similar recalls issued by regulatory bodies in their country and stay informed about product updates from the CPSC.
