ASUS has stopped producing the NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB, saying they've reached 'end of life'

ASUS Halts Production of NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB Amid Memory Crunch.

In a move that has sent shockwaves through the gaming community, ASUS has officially stopped producing the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB models. The company cited "end-of-life" status for these GPUs due to an ongoing memory crunch, which is attributed to strong demand from data center infrastructure companies.

According to a report by Hardware Unboxed, ASUS explicitly informed the YouTube channel that the RTX 5070 Ti is currently facing a supply shortage, prompting the company to place the model into end-of-life status. The 5060 Ti 16GB, another affected model, will also no longer be produced going forward.

The decision has significant implications for gamers who were eagerly waiting for these GPUs. While NVIDIA has stated that it continues to ship all GeForce SKUs and is working closely with suppliers to maximize memory availability, the company's AIB partners are now facing a challenge in sourcing memory for their products.

Historically, NVIDIA has provided its board partners with both the die and memory needed to make graphics cards. However, there have been rumors that the company told partners they would need to start sourcing memory on their own.

The AI boom has created an insatiable demand for RAM and other computer components from data center infrastructure companies. This has led to dramatically increased prices among consumer RAM kits, GPUs, and SSDs. ASUS is now the first of NVIDIA's AIB partners to comment on the memory crunch.

Gaming enthusiasts may be relieved that these models are no longer available, but it remains to be seen whether they will return later this year. In a statement, NVIDIA maintained that demand for GeForce RTX GPUs is strong and memory supply is constrained, while ASUS has not commented further on the matter.

omg what's goin on with gpu prices rn? like i was tryna buy a new pc and now they're sayin no more 5070 ti lol what's happenin to all those data centers? is it causin the shortage or r they just takin advantage of it?

aww poor gamers ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿ˜ž it's like the whole gaming community is getting hit with a memory crunch headache ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ‘€ i feel bad for those who were really looking forward to getting their hands on these GPUs ๐Ÿ’” especially with data center companies being so big and in-demand, it's no wonder prices are going through the roof ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ฅ what a stressful time for everyone involved ๐Ÿ™

OMG, what's going on?! ๐Ÿคฏ So like, ASUS just stopped making these super powerful GPUs because of a memory shortage? That's wild! I'm no gamer, but even I know how hard it is to get my hands on a new GPU, and now ASUS can't make any more? ๐Ÿ˜ฌ I feel bad for all the gamers out there who were counting on getting their hands on one of these bad boys. And NVIDIA's like "oh no, memory crunch" - where was that when it was just going to be used by data center companies only? ๐Ÿค” Anyway, I'm curious if these GPUs will come back later this year... maybe the demand will die down a bit and they'll make more again? ๐Ÿ’ฏ

I'm so down with ASUS making these GPUs go bye-bye ๐Ÿ˜’, like, who needs 'em anyway? They're just gonna sell out in seconds when they do come back, right? And honestly, I think it's a little sad that data center companies are causing all this drama... but at the same time, can't blame them for wanting those extra RAM chips ๐Ÿค‘. I mean, what if NVIDIA actually tells its AIB partners to start sourcing memory themselves? That would be wild! ๐Ÿคฏ Maybe ASUS was right to cut off production and just let people move on to other GPUs... or maybe they're being too hasty? ๐Ÿ˜•

man I'm thinking about how we got to a point where gaming becomes so serious it's like people are competing in some kinda virtual Olympics ๐Ÿคฏ... but what's the real cost of that? Like ASUS is just trying to survive and all these companies are pushing up prices, making it harder for people to game without breaking the bank ๐Ÿ’ธ

it's not even about the money anymore, it's about access to tech that was supposed to be everyone's playground ๐ŸŒณ... what does that say about our society when data centers can just suck up all the resources and leave us gamers with a dwindling pool of options? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿ˜’ I'm not surprised by this news at all. It's just another example of how fragile the entire PC gaming ecosystem is. NVIDIA's dependency on data center companies for RAM is a ticking time bomb waiting to happen. It's like they're putting all their chips on one table ๐Ÿคฏ. And now ASUS has bitten the dust because of it? What's next, will we see a shortage of RAM because someone wanted more RAM? ๐Ÿคฃ I'm just saying, if NVIDIA wants to make some serious cash from its AIB partners, it needs to rethink its supply chain strategy and get its act together ๐Ÿ’ช.

omg u guys cant even get ur hands on these gpu's rn asus just stopped making them due to memory crunch lol what's going on with nvidia tho? theyre still shippin all their other sku's but aib partners like asus r getting hit hard cuz they gotta source memory themselves ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ธ it's def a weird situation... i mean, gaming community is basically freaking out rn but we'll see if these gpu's come back later this yr ๐Ÿ˜…

dunno why ppl r stressing about these GPU models lol ๐Ÿ˜‚ asus was like "hey its time to move on" & nvidia just shrugged & said "memory crunch ain't my problem ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ". gamers are just gonna have to get over it or buy different models ๐Ÿค‘. AI boom = price hike everywhere ๐Ÿ’ธ. idk about the aib partners but if u need memory, u can always shop around for cheaper options ๐Ÿ›๏ธ

Ugh, I'm so bummed about this ๐Ÿค•. Those RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti models were some of my fave GPUs... I mean, who didn't love the ray tracing capabilities? ๐ŸŽฎ Now they're just a distant memory, and it's all because of that crazy AI boom ๐Ÿ’ป. I guess it makes sense, though - those data center companies are like, totally draining the market for RAM and other stuff. It's wild how prices have skyrocketed... I mean, I know it's not like they're making these GPUs out of thin air or anything ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I feel bad for gamers who were counting on getting their hands on these models - it's just another example of how fast tech is moving forward ๐Ÿš€. On the bright side, NVIDIA's still supporting its board partners and all that... but I guess we'll just have to keep an eye out for those new releases later this year ๐Ÿคž.

OMG u guys can't even get ur hands on these new rtx 50 series GPUs anymore thanks to data centers taking up all the memory ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ˜ฉ i mean yeah the price hike is already killing it tho, but at least its no longer gonna be super hard to cop those new games ๐ŸŽฎ nvidia should really work on this ASAP or we'll just have to upgrade again soon ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿ’ป

I'm so done with these new GPU shortages ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, can't we just get some reliable tech for once? It's like, ASUS was already feeling the pressure due to all that AI boom business, and now NVIDIA is saying they're still gonna ship those GPUs, but they can't even find memory for them? ๐Ÿ™„

And don't even get me started on how this affects gamers. I know some people were super hyped about getting their hands on these RTX 5070 Ti and 5060 Ti 16GB models, but now it's like, "meh" - they're not even available anymore ๐Ÿ˜. It's all so frustrating.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that this whole thing just highlights how fragile the entire tech industry is right now ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, one little problem (memory crunch) and suddenly an entire line of GPUs goes away? Crazy talk! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Ugh, can't believe ASUS is just gonna drop these GPUs without giving gamers any heads up ๐Ÿคฏ... I mean, I get it, end-of-life status and all that, but still... those 5060 Ti 16GBs were supposed to be a game-changer for content creators ๐Ÿ˜’. Now they're stuck trying to find a new supplier or deal with crazy prices for RAM... not good ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ. NVIDIA's always saying "we've got this" but it seems like the memory crunch is real and it's affecting everyone ๐Ÿšจ. Can't wait to see if they'll come back later, fingers crossed ๐Ÿ’•.

The fleeting nature of our desires... I mean, the sudden unavailability of those coveted graphics cards. It's almost as if we're reminded that our attachments to material possessions are inherently ephemeral. ASUS's decision to halt production of these GPUs serves as a poignant reminder that even in an era where technology advances at breakneck speed, scarcity and limitation can still be quite...persuasive ๐Ÿ˜Š.

As data center infrastructure companies continue to feast on the vast appetite for memory and components, it raises questions about our collective priorities. Are we genuinely invested in the pursuit of innovation and progress, or are we merely driven by our baser desires? The AI boom may have created a sense of urgency around these issues, but at what cost? ๐Ÿค”

๐Ÿคฏ I'm literally livid right now! ๐Ÿ˜ฉ How can one company just halt production of entire GPU lines due to some "memory crunch" thingy? ๐Ÿค‘ Like, what about all those gamers who have been waiting for these bad boys? ๐Ÿ’ฅ I feel like NVIDIA is dropping the ball on this whole memory crisis situation. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ It's time they step up their game and start supplying those AIB partners with some serious memory! ๐Ÿ’ฏ

OMG ๐Ÿ˜ฑ I'm literally still trying to wrap my head around this ๐Ÿคฏ... like what even is going on with NVIDIA's supply chain? ๐Ÿค‘ First of all, these GPUs were already kinda hard to get, and now they're just ghosted ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ‘ป?! The gaming community is FREAKING OUT right now ๐Ÿ˜ฉ, and I don't blame 'em one bit ๐Ÿ’€... who wants to deal with the drama of trying to find a new GPU when you've got a sweet setup already? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ

And can we talk about how the data center industry is basically STEALING all our RAM and memory ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ’ธ?! I mean, I get it, AI is all the rage now ๐Ÿค–, but come on ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ... there's gotta be a way to balance supply and demand without screwing over the average gamer ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Like, what's next? Are we gonna have to pay ANOTHER premium for our RAM just because some data centers want it? ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿ‘€

I'm still trying to process all this ๐Ÿ˜•... I guess we'll just have to wait and see if NVIDIA decides to bring back these GPUs later on ๐Ÿ’ญ. But for now, it's like the gaming world is in a state of flux ๐ŸŒช๏ธ... and I'm just over here trying to figure out what's happening ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’ก

Ugh, I'm so done with these GPU production issues ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. Can't we just have some consistency in tech? First it's the RX 7000 series, now this. It feels like every time you think you've got a handle on prices, another drama unfolds ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

I mean, seriously, who needs a memory crunch that bad? Data center companies and their insatiable appetite for RAM... I get it, they're the ones driving demand, but can't we just have some breathing room? ๐Ÿ’ธ

And what's with NVIDIA telling partners to source memory on their own now? That sounds like a recipe for disaster ๐Ÿšจ. Can't they see how this is affecting everyone else in the market?

ASUS stopping production of these GPUs isn't helping, though. It's all just a big mess ๐Ÿ˜ค. I'm not holding my breath for these models to come back later this year either...

awww dont worry gamers!! ๐Ÿค— this means less stress about finding those super hard to get 5070 ti & 5060 ti 16gb lolol some of us were worried we'd have to wait till next year for these but fingers crossed they come back later ๐Ÿ˜Š nvidia's got this and suppliers are working on it too ๐Ÿ’ช

omg i cant even afford a new gpu rn ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿค‘ i need one for my gaming rig but its like every website says the prices are crazy high rn ๐Ÿคฏ i was really hoping to get an RTX 5070 Ti, heard it's super powerful ๐Ÿ’ฅ does anyone know if nvidia is gonna bring out a new model soon? ๐Ÿค”
