omg u guys i just learned about bob weir aka the kid from grateful dead i cant even imagine how hard it must've been for him to go from being 16 and playing with these iconic guys to becoming such an integral part of their sound i love how he persisted despite everyone saying his playing skills werent enough it's like he just went "nope im gonna make this happen" and boom his use of alternate chords is insane and have you heard the story about how he collaborated with john perry barlow? so cool
lol @ this dude predicting the band will still be around in like 300 yrs is wild , bob weir is literally a legend and i'm so down for more of that wolf bros stuff , his legacy is cemented and he's done everything he set out to do - from pushing the boundaries of improvisational rock with the grateful dead to carrying on that torch with ratdog and dead & company
I think its amazin how far Bob Weir has come since those early days of the Grateful Dead ! He stuck it out even when his playing skills were told he wasn't good enough and that's what made him so valuable to the band. His connection with Jerry Garcia was real, you can feel it in the music. And then you see him go on to do all this other stuff like RatDog and Dead & Company... its mind-blowin! He even predicted they'd still be playin 200-300 yrs from now . I mean what band or artist is brave enough to say that? The man's got a vision, a legacy that's still rockin strong .
