electrical fires on train tracks are always so unpredictable they should really step up their safety checks btw I'm glad no one got hurt but can you imagine being stuck in a crowded BART station with smoke and flames everywhere? 
at least the repairs were done pretty quickly, just hope they find out what that foreign object was before something like this happens again 
. We need to make sure that our public transportation systems are safe and reliable for everyone.
like who leaves a foreign object just chillin' on the tracks waiting to cause chaos? and another thing, can't we get some better maintenance going on here? it's not like they're trying hard or anything... 1 track needs repair after that explosion? what if something else happens while they're working on it? 
, can't even imagine the scare factor right now. BART needs to get that track fixed ASAP though, it's not safe for anyone to be riding on that damaged part

I was like "what just happened?" when i saw the news... seems like a blown insulator caused the whole thing, and it was so intense that there were thick plumes of smoke and an explosion! 
just had to deal with delayed trains at Civic Center BART all day 
my train was stuck on the platform for like an hour 
waiting for them to fix the tracks 
finally they got everything fixed and we were able to leave 
so glad no one got hurt by that electrical fire 
anyway, I'm just glad it's over now 
I know some people are saying it's good they got the station reopened, but how stressful was this for parents with kids trying to get to school?! 
And what about all those people who work on public transport? Do they get time off to deal with these issues?

. and now they're saying there was a foreign object on the trackway which is just weird i dont get how that thing came into contact with the third rail. hope they figure out what happened so they can fix the tracks properly
