Man bailed by police after alleged football elbow assault

A 35-year-old man has walked free under conditional bail following allegations of assault during a high-profile amateur football match in North Wales. The incident occurred on January 17th between Trearddur Bay and Porthmadog in the Ardal North West League at Y Traeth stadium.

Footage of the altercation, which has been widely shared online, appears to show the alleged victim being struck in the arm with an elbow. Authorities have confirmed they are working closely with the victim and appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The man was arrested on suspicion of assault and is currently bailing pending further investigation. Police Inspector Iwan Jones urged individuals who filmed the incident to reach out, highlighting that sharing certain information could lead to legal consequences.

Both Trearddur Bay Football Club and Porthmadog FC have since released statements. The latter has apologized for the incident, while releasing player Tom Taylor following an emergency committee meeting. Trearddur Bay has vowed cooperation with any ongoing investigations, while declining further comment at this time. Meanwhile, The Football Association of Wales (FAW) is conducting its own inquiry into the matter.

I'm just wondering why these videos keep popping up everywhere on social media πŸ€”... Like, who needs proof that someone got hit in the arm? That's not exactly conclusive evidence, right? 😬 And what's with all the speculation about Tom Taylor? Is he really off the hook because one team let him go? It seems a bit hasty to me. I mean, I get it, we want justice for the victim, but shouldn't we be looking at more than just what happened on camera?

It's also weird that Trearddur Bay FC is being super tight-lipped about this whole thing 🀐. Are they hiding something? And why are there all these different investigations going on? The police, the FAW, and now... who knows how many others? It's starting to feel like a bit of a circus πŸ˜‚.

πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ Like, can't believe what's going on here... just watched that footage and it looks so bad for the guy who hit the other player πŸ€•. I mean, I'm no expert, but shouldn't you be able to control your temper during a game? πŸ˜… It's not like it's the World Cup! And the fact that people have been sharing this online is just crazy... I hope everyone involved is okay, though πŸ’―. The whole thing has got me thinking about how hard football can be on players' tempers and mental health πŸ€”. Definitely keeping an eye on this one πŸ‘€.

I don't think this is the end of the story πŸ€”... I mean, a 35-year-old man walked free on conditional bail? That's already causing a ruckus online 😬. But let's look at the bigger picture here. The fact that both teams released statements and apologized for what happened is actually a good sign πŸ™. It shows that they're taking responsibility and trying to make things right. And I'm glad the police are working closely with the victim – that's essential for getting justice. Maybe this incident can even lead to some positive changes in the football community? Like, maybe there'll be more support for players who get hurt during games πŸ€•. Okay, so it's not a perfect situation, but let's try to focus on the silver lining here ✨.

πŸ˜• gotta say, this whole thing just feels like a mess 🀯... like, what's with all these different parties involved? FAW, police, clubs... can't we just get one unified story out there? πŸ“° and of course, now it's all about who was filming where πŸ“Ή... poor guy got hit and people are worried about getting in trouble for sharing it online πŸ€”. I mean, I get it, we don't want to sensationalize the situation or anything πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ, but can't we just focus on what really matters: making sure the victim gets the help they need? πŸ’• and btw, shouldn't Trearddur Bay be more direct about whether they're cooperating with the investigation? βš–οΈ so many loose ends here...

I was saying this earlier about football matches and how they're getting more intense, now it seems like some players are taking it a bit too far πŸ€•πŸ€ This incident in North Wales is just another example. I mean, what's with sharing footage of these incidents online? Don't we have better things to do than glorify violence? Anyway, back to the point – it's good that both teams and the authorities are taking this seriously and cooperating with each other. Maybe we can learn something from this about the sport's culture... just saying πŸ€”

aww man what a stressful situation for the alleged victim πŸ€•πŸ‘Š hope they get all the support they need now πŸ’ͺ they deserve justice after going through that traumatic experience πŸ˜” meanwhile, it's also good to see the football clubs taking responsibility and cooperating with the investigation πŸ’― fingers crossed that everything gets resolved soon πŸ‘

I don't think it's cool that the guy who filmed the whole thing was being asked to reach out... πŸ˜• I mean, what if he didn't do anything wrong? πŸ€” Like, did he even get a chance to talk to the guy before sharing it online? πŸ“± It's just weird that police inspector is telling people they might get in trouble for sharing info... like, can't we just be able to watch a football match without having to worry about getting sued or something? πŸ˜‚ And why did Trearddur Bay team decline comment? Shouldn't they at least try to explain what happened from their side? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

just don't get how some people can just throw elbows and hit others in the arm like that πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ˜‘ like what even is wrong with these football players? 🏈 i mean trearddur bay and porthmadog both got statements out but still no one's really explaining why he did it... maybe they were having a bad day or something? πŸ€” anyway, glad the guy's not gonna rot in prison but hope his actions don't affect anyone else's life too much 🀞 [1]
