it's like they're trying to tell us something or what. i mean, multiple gunshot wounds? that's just so senseless. can't we just have a day without some poor soul getting gunned down? anyway, the cops are on it, but how many times do they need to work tirelessly before they catch someone? and what about the community? are they gonna get any answers or just left in the dark again?

just saw this breaking news and I'm still trying to process it. 53 gun deaths in Chicago so far this year, and that's not counting the other ones that are gonna get reported later. 
75% of those victims were between 15-30 years old. It's like we're living in a horror movie where gun violence is just normalized 
. 1 in 5 kids in Chicago live in poverty, and it's no surprise that the majority of these senseless shootings are happening in neighborhoods with low socioeconomic status. 
We need to find ways to address this systemic inequality ASAP!
